I have been looking for a good basic chinese take out place since I moved here over 4 years ago. Finally I have found it. This is a great place for take out. They do the little things right, takeout is in bowls not White Boxes so your food is not jammed together and drenched in sauce. Also the sauce comes in a separate container so you can put as little, or as much, as you want on. Finally the vegetables are still crisp and are fresh.
This is a great restaurant and should be given a try.
Pros: Food, service, staff
Cons: No Brown Rice

I found Gamba's while at the dog park across the street from his restaurant. I saw the $1 sushi happy hour sign and decided OK... Well that was 3-4 months ago and I have been eating there at least 2-3 times each week. This place looks expensive, but is the best deal on Sushi in all of Seattle.
Gamba has created his own rolls which are indescribable. The people are freindly and we have found that people tend to share their last few bites (untouched of course) with other customers. We followed along and do the same when we have something left. - His portions are large, inexpensive and delicious. I found most of his customers are regulars. Once you visit Gamba's you will become a regular as well.
Great selection on Beer, Wine and Saki.
A menu that makes sense.
Great Pricing.
All day happy hour on Saturdays.
Weekday Happy Hour from 4pm -11pm
They deliver as well. What more could you want? Oh yes one more note... The Deep Fried Calamari I had for the first time just last night. Wow,,, He cuts it up, dips it Lightly into batter (excellent batter) and when he serves it with his special sauce, it leaves you speechless. Try it - Mike Taylor
Pros: Best Sushi, Steak and Calamari

When I can't think of what I want to eat, usually this is where I end up. Excellent vegan sushi options, a fantastic house salad (I must figure that dressing out!). I typically will call them up on a week day around noon, feeling hungry and a little lazy, order my same old same old (asparagus roll and avocado roll, house salad), and drive up there five or ten minutes later and it's ready. I can hardly wait to get home and eat it. They also do a very nice vegetable Tempura, the house soup is excellent, a little smoky and salty, and all of it is pretty reasonably priced. Even on a Friday night at rush hour and the line well out the door, I didn't wait more than ten minutes to be seated. The waitstaff are masters of efficiency..when it just about enters your mind that you've been waiting a second past too long for your food, there it is, beautifully presented and mouth watering. I have eaten there maybe fifty times over five years, and never once, NEVER found hair in my food. I feel sorry for those folks who did. Fluke.
Pros: Inexpensive, Fast! Fresh, Delicious, Diverse.

Ichiro in Magnolia is an awesome sushi and teriyaki place, as well as a full menu, full service, Japanese family restaurant. The prices are good, the service is lightning quick, and the fish is fresh. You can get in and out for a few bucks, or make a night of it with sake and mochi and miso. Oh my!

I went here for happy hour and had the best greyhound of my life. Some friends had a couple of different absinthes, which were ok, but I really am not a huge fan anyway. Cool spot, filled with some cool indie kids. That part of it wasn't really my scene, but everyone was really mellow and loving the cocktails...
Pros: Greyhound that will make you want to make love
Cons: Kinda Hipster-y

My husband and I love this place! And we are very picky... ;-) We have one more all time favorite place so far, which is La Rustica in West Seattle, but that's about it. The customer service these days is really bad...and it can totally ruin even the best food.
This place is great in all aspects. We always get a great service. Waiters/waitresses are polite and very welcoming!
We recommend this place to all our friends!
Pros: Food, Service, Location, Decor
Cons: None; we just wish it would open earlier... ;)

We visited Chiso for the first time a few weeks ago just as a change of pace from our regular sushi restaurants. We weren't disappointed! We took at seat at the bar and the sushi chef immediately greeted us with a smile and welcomed us. The sushi and sashimi were all delicious, and the prices weren't bad for a sushi restaurant. Would definitely recommend!
Pros: Friendly Sushi Chef, Delicious food
Cons: Store entrance hard to spot, street parking

Kisaku is amazing. I've gone at least once a week since it opened. I highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar. Nakano-san and Shimi always come up with really creative things, and all the food is always amazing. Take a minute to ask what's fresh, what's in season, and what you just absolutely must try. Definitely take their suggestions and be adventurous.
Oysters on half shells are a must to begin the meal, and if Aji Tataki is up on the specials board, you're in for a treat. In terms of cooked food, the tofu dengaku (fried tofu in red miso sauce) is sublime, and they the best calamari I have ever had in the country, no joke.
Also, either make reservations or come at less crowded times (it's easier to get in earlier, especially on week days).
Pros: Great fresh fish. Great entrees. Great desserts.
Cons: Parking can be annoying if your new to the neighborhood.
