Ichiro in Magnolia is an awesome sushi and teriyaki place, as well as a full menu, full service, Japanese family restaurant. The prices are good, the service is lightning quick, and the fish is fresh. You can get in and out for a few bucks, or make a night of it with sake and mochi and miso. Oh my!

Towards the end of the Ave, Ichiro offers great Japanese and Korean food. It's not directly on the ave, but is about 30 feet back. You can see it from the street and they have their own parking.
It was pretty busy during lunchtime, as you'd expect from a decent place to eat. It's clean, and they bring the food out quickly.
I enjoyed the hot plate with beef and misc veggies. Very nice by Ave standards...if you're looking for something not so "typical" of the ave...pay them a visit.

Ichiro Teriyaki and Sushi in Magnolia offers all the benefits of a real Japanese restaurant, at the price of a cheap teriyaki joint. The teriyaki itself is great - thin slices of quality chicken with a tasty sauce, two large scoops of rice and a simple salad for about $6. Yakisoba noodles are full of meat, and finely chopped vegetables and completely fill a deep dish that is more than 12" in diameter. The volume is plenty for two people to share. The restaurant is simple, clean and nicely decorated. The family that runs the restaurant is friendly, welcoming and quick with service. I'd still eat here if they charged 50% more for their food, but don't tell them that!
