I'm a pretty critical guy when it comes to sushi...but I Love Sushi is one of the best. Using the best quality ingredients, and freshest fish...this place is awesome. Of course, with all that comes a price...the sushi here is pricy...but if you're going out for that special occasion, or you don't go out to sushi often...this is the plcae to go. I took a friend here once who had never eaten sushi and was a bit afraid of the idea...turned out he liked it!

While this place is not the best sushi place around, it is quite delicious. I would recommend this one hundred times over Blue C Sushi. It has so much going for it. Great views, easy parking, delicious rolls: California, Spider, Alaskan, etc. There is a much wider selection than Blue C Sushi, and I think the prices are well worth the fresher quality of the food. It is a great place for a date and it is always fun to share your meals, and what a better way to do that than with sushi!

Good sushi, very fresh and flavorful. Service is fine, quick and friendly. They offer a lunch combo that is the perfect amount to fill you up; 5 peices of sashimi, 1 california roll, salad, miso soup. Pretty good with timely beverage refills.
Only downside is that it is relatively expensive for sushi.

One of the few places in town that often has fresh Toro on the menu. Sit at the bar and get to know the chef, order sushi how it's made to order: ask them what they recommend and the freshest fish of the day. The biggest flaw that most sushi lovers make is always ordering what they love - whether it is in season or not. There are 3 types of Maguro they consistently keep at hand of different textures and richness. Ask for more details, depending on how rich you prefer the fat layers to be (hint: do you always order the same cut of steak?). The Spanish mackerel served with Ponzu sauce is a delight to experience, when at peak perfection. The Hamachi is like butter. Venture out of the tables and create a relationship with the chef, the way it should be and you won't be disappointed.
Pros: 3 types of Maguro, Spanish Mackerel, Uni - Winter Season
Cons: Parking

A Rare Find. Great Sushi, Friendly service. My friends and I have visited both Bellevue and Lake Union but prefer the ambiance of the Lake Union location. All staff members are efficient, knowledgable and friendly. Favorite menu items are Sashimi Salad (awesome display and flavor), Tuna Tataki and sesame crusted oysters. great happy hour value. Sometimes a wait but well worth it. Make reservations.
Pros: great fresh fish, inexpensive, happy hour menu

I have been going to I Love Sushi on Lake Union for years and I love it. The sushi and noodle soups and dishes have wonderful flavor, the staff is quick and friendly and it has the feel of restaurants in Japan. The drawbacks are parking (valet and minimal street/lot parking) and it's not good for groups of 10 or more. Avoid the dinner rush (Fri/Sat after 6pm) or you'll be waiting for an hour.

For years I have patronized this sushi house on Lk Union. I have patronized this restaurant for years. Sushi and bento boxes always fresh and well-presented. Service is efficient, but of the "drop and run" variety.
My only complaint is that they apparently do not EVER ALLOW you to bring your own sake. We had been given a very special premium bottle from Japan for my birthday. However, when we went to the restaurant for birthday dinner, they absolutely would not allow us to drink it. So we left...
Pros: quality of sushi
Cons: , rigid BYOB

This place used to be very good, I used to go there all the time. However, when I went there last night with my family, the sushi was just horrible. The fish were not fresh, and the taste of the sushi rolls (dragon roll, tempura roll, spider roll) were so bad. The best sushi in my book for the Seattle area now is Tuna House in Bellevue.
Pros: good location
Cons: expensive, taste
