The best sushi I have had anywhere in the country. Very fresh, very imaginative. Everything is always great. In addition to my regular sushi, I like to ask the chef at the bar to:
- Surprise me with whatever they feel like making (never have been disappointed)
- What should I have this evening.
I have tried many new and great types of sushi with these two requests. You will not be disappointed at Kisaku. And try to save room for dessert, as the desserts are outstanding.

I've gone there two times and I really really like it a lot.
My date and I spent around $75 but were so completely stuffed beyond description. I could name many places where the same amount of money will just get you started. We got appetizers, sake, lots of fish (sashimi and nigiri), a couple small rolls, and a couple LARGE rolls. Plenty to munch on.
The specialty rolls they had were huge and filled us up. A pretty good value and tasty at that. I remember a good selection of fresh fish that tasted nummy and buttery.
We sat at the bar one time and was given free treats throughout dinner. I think he was the owner. So delish. And the waitress was hot as well. I couldn't stop watching her mouth as she spoke.
The atmosphere was pretty cozy. We had a romantic time. It's a very pleasant experience overall. The food, waitstaff, price, atmosphere. Spot on.

I love the atmosphere here. Its almost worth the cost of the food just to sit in this place. Almost.
My husband and I went here for my birthday. We got tempura (good but not great- a little too coated and heavy), miso soup (great- hard to mess up), and edamame (great but again hard to mess up). Now the sushi was delicious, I don't deny it, but honestly I've tasted fresher. Also I like to regulate the amount of wasabi that is used to flavor the sushi but they had so much rolled in it that it overpowered the taste of most of the fish.
I probably would have given the place 4 stars except it was so expensive (even for a sushi restaurant). All in all, the service and atmosphere was great, but the food was not worth the cost. We will be searching for a sushi restaurant in Seattle that is better valued.

I have yet to sit down and try their table service, but the sushi bar is great and the head chef certainly knows his Mariners well!
Great Mochi if you're a fan...

Kisaku is a cute place with great service on the corner of Keystone, across from Zoka Coffee by Green Lake. The price is just right, not too pricey and not too cheap, a great place for a date. They have this amazing salad with mushroom covered in a miso salad dressing, a must try! They also have fresh salmon sushi rolls and surf clams--my two most favorite items! What's great about this place is I've always been able to walk in on a weeknight and be seated right away! If you're hungry and is ready for a good quick meal, this is the place to go.

The sushi here is very good, and the prices are not too outrageous. We really enjoy all of the tuna (they usually have a wide selection) and the pieces are the perfect size (not huge like Musashi, not tiny like Nikos).
Calling ahead is usually a good idea, as it is typically crowded on most nights. We really enjoy sitting at the bar on the far side, where our fav. chef works. Not sure of his name, but he gives out samples to his good customers.
Right now, best sushi in Seattle.
Have eaten here at least 12-15 times in last year.

Ambience is quite nice but it can be a bit noisy at night.
I like their closing time of 10pm or 10:30pm.
