Big Sky Golf Course is located about 25 minutes north of Whistler, and well worth the drive. About half the price of the courses located in Whistler, with AMAZING views of the mountains. The course is well maintained, and was very quiet on a Friday afternoon. Highly recommended!

Husky women's basketball games are a blast (but don't sit too near the band if you don't want that to be literal). Pac-10 rivalries are fierce and the games can be very physical. The Huskies always play with great heart and determination. Sing with the band, watch the cheerleaders fly through the air, grab some popcorn (or you can bring your own concessions) and bring the kids for fun night.

While we think two big stadiums across the street from each other is a waste of precious tax dollars, we do love a good ballgame, something the Mariners usually (well often, anyhow) provides. Even when they're off, it's still fun. A wide variety of food is available, from hot dogs to sushi and everything in between - but the hotdogs are great and reasonably inexpensive (~$5.00). Beer isn't cheap, but what else is new? Family specials include seats, hotdogs and cokes at a reduced price.

What is truly, utterly amazing about the Southgate Roller Rink is I used to go all the time in the mid 80's and having gone back recently 20 years later I can attest that NOTHING AT ALL HAS CHANGED. Other than some patrons using in-line skates and some slightly updated music, everything else about the place . . . the carpets, the plush rug lined benches, the sky blue painted rink, the snack bar the short bathroom stall . . . it is all exactly the same. If you have a hankering for a cheap night and wish you were twelve again, this is the place to go. This is the place that is still, after all these years, Keepin' It Real.

Well, my daughter showed an interest in basketball last season. She's a soccer player, and I've coached her since age 6. Last season, another assistant coach on her soccer team said his company had box seats for a Storm game in Seattle. He was inviting all the girls on the soccer team, so we said, "sure!" This was our first ever experience in Seattle. Myself, son and daughter went to the game with the rest of the group. We had never even watched a Storm game, so had no idea about any of the players, much less women's basketball. The box seats are beautiful. There was a plasma tv in there and seating for 12 or 13 (I think). A waiter came in and took our orders and whatever we needed. It was really nice to be spoiled! We learned a lot about basketball that night, and had an awesome time cheering on our new hometown! If you can make it to a game, I'd recommend it. The Storm is actually pretty good! :)

Location, location, location. This is the premiere country club on the Eastside. Located in the heart of Bellevue and minutes from Seattle and Mercer Island, Overlake wins based solely on location. While there are better and longer courses in King County, Overlake is just as tough. From the blue tees its only 6600 yards, but it plays tough. The greens are large and undulating and the fairways are tight. If you have the coin to put up, join, as you won't regret it.

It was hard losing mr sonic nate mcmillian left for portland, but still things look up for the sonics. We still have our core players of Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, Luke Ridnour, and Nick Collison. So we should be just as good this year. The stadium, I believe needs to be updated, but it probably will be impossible to do without help from the city etc. But the owners should have known this before they bought the team.
