Capers has everything! Table linens, kitchen ware, jewelry, fancy soaps & spa products, furniture (gorgeous!), Zutano clothes for kids, baby toys/gifts and the best selection of old fashioned glass christmas ornaments during the holidays. Oh, and there is also a cafe/espresso bar. I'm sure I've left some things out! These are boutique prices, but not too bad as it is in West Seattle. This is the place to go to indulge yourself or find the perfect gift for that hard to buy-for loved one (Well, I haven't ever found anything for my husband in there!) They also do a gift wrap, which I don't think is the cutest, unless what you've purchased happens to already be in a box.

I love coming to Capers in West Seattle for a great selection of unique items, from home furnishings, stationary, place mats and napkins, pottery, Zutano baby clothes and more. The little café is a bonus, serving coffee and sandwiches. This store is huge and I can always find a gift for someone here. I would give it five stars, except the last time I was in it looked like the supply of baby items was dwindling.

Caper's has been in West Seattle for awhile now & has recently opened a second store in Fremont, although I haven't been to check it out yet. They have great table linens, serving platters, some glassware, kitchen supplies, cookbooks, candles, a variety of home decor items, and much, much more. They also sell furniture and have a variety of gifts. They have a small, but adorable section of children's clothing and a few books and toys. During Christmas they have great decorations and gifts ranging from a few dollars to much more expensive. It is one of my favorite places to browse and they get new merchandise in all the time.

Don't get me wrong, I like Capers, which is probably the first boutique-type store that actually started in the West Seattle Junction before moving to Fremont, but it is a little Fancy Pants. Good unique gifts can be found there, but the prices are quite steep. The only place to get cool "West Seattle" t-shirts to wear with pride.
