My Daughter went to Pike Market Medical Clinic and saw Dr. Anderson. She told the Doctor she had been sick for over 4 weeks complaining of ear aches, chest hurting, sinus congestion, headaches and fatigue. Dr. Anderson gave her a prescription for amoxicillon and tylenol with codine? and after 3 days she actually was feeling worse. She went back to Dr. Anderson and asked to please have a different prescription but She refused to give her another prescription stating she needed to let it takes its course that it was viral. She never did a throat culture and why didn't she consider a sinus infection? And currently there is a high level of resistance with amoxicillin.
My daughter left crying because she is a full time student and works to support herself and had to call in to work sick again. She also had been missing several of her classes.
I called several times and spoke to staff, they never did let me speak to the doctor even though they told me she was going to call me, she never did.
Well another week (over 5 weeks) went by with her suffering and she finally found a great doctor who took the time to listen to her and diagnoised her with acute sinusitis and gave her a different prescription.
