Sales rep had a thorough proposal but only offered a really high-dollar brand and a lower-dollar brand.
Price difference made it so most people would choose the lower dollar brand.
Yet our research found that the lower-dollar brand was also very low quality.
We told sales guy about our findings and asked him to quote us a higher-quality brand. He refused to quote any other brand even though his company is a dealer in several other brands.
The Jorve sales guy would not provide any other quote nor reason(s) why he only wanted to push the low-quality brand to us.
It's obvious that Jorve has some special deal w/the low-quality brand so only wants to maximize its profits by forcing this one brand on us.
Additionally, the sales guy claimed that a local competitor had been late paying worker's comp. State records disproved this as worker's comp was current; I spoke w/the state dept of labor and the competitor had a proven record of never being late.
So Jorve sales guy not only tried dumping crap shingles on us but also lied about his competitor.
Be careful dealing with Jorve!

GREAT EXPERIENCE! We live in a 20 year old all shake roof neighborhood in mukilteo and everyone is roofing, most going to comp. After seeing a roof put on our neighbors house in back of us by a local roofer we were pretty worried about having this done for us. The roofers were swearing back and forth to each other, enjoying a rock concert from their boom box, and were less than appealing with their shirts off. We talked to many of our Friends that have worked with contractors and many talked about or knew

Presale was a very good experience. Not too pushy. Obviously know what they are doing. Had a solution to my unique problem and great guarantees. Post sale has not been so great. They did the work adequately but communication has not been good. very little follow up while the project was going. For as much as i paid i should not have to always make the call to them to find out what is going on. They are still not done several weeks later. I am confident that the job was done right, but it just should have been a better experience for the highest priced bid.

Jorve came out and finished my project in only two days! The workmanship was impeccable. The workers were very respectful and the yard was almost cleaner than when they arrived! Bravo!

I chose Jorve for a nearly full new roof and some small construction, in Nov 2005. During the bidding process, they were prompt and professional, and the most expensive. I chose them based on their reputation and solid references.
The project started off well and moved quickly. UNFORTUNATELY, the problems started soon thereafter:
1) Sloppy finish workmanship--exposed nails, scratched and dirtied fascia board
2) Lack of care for house in prep area---needed to re-paint a deck and some siding
3) 60% mark up on construction materials---this is NOT in the contract and was only disclosed when I challenged the bill, knowing what was used on site.
4) Added phantom labor hours to my invoice.
5) Mismatched metal flashing widths
that's the bad news. the GOOD NEWS is that once I called the General Manager, they were quick to solve all of the problems, remove the false charges and reimburse me to have the area re-painted. They also knocked a small amount off of the total bill to make it right. word to the wise: be on site when they are there, log their hours and be sure to inspect the work and give feedback promptly. They do care about their reputation, and that is worth a lot.
