I started going here because an art teacher recommended it and they have a teacher and student discount. I kept going because I get inspired when I walk the aisles. They have lots of things for the craftier types or the school-age kids, but then the more serious stuff for the serious artists as well. Canvas stretchers, canvas, different color, papers, paints, it's all here. more

Excellent store 3/9/2006

I love coming into Artist & Craftsman just to browse. They have pretty much every art supply I can think of. They have a lot of paints, silkscreening materials, pencils, charcoal, canvas, paper, etc. They also have a bunch of art stuff for kids, so everyone wins. Prices are decent and I don't know of any store around that has a comparable selection of arts and crafts materials. The employees have always been courteous to me, even though more often than not I can only afford to browse. more

It took me awhile to find this place, but now we go there for all my arts and crafts needs! It has a sort of co-op atmosphere, with reduced prices as compared to other stores. They have a great selection of paints and brushes, but also a wide variety of other craft products. We always get good, timely service there, and I've been satisfied with every one of our purchases. I guess my only complaint is that sometimes they don't stock their shelves as often as they should, but this is not a big deal with me. They even have stone pieces for any sculptors out there. more
