Good: The staff is amazing- incredibly well-informed and helpful. The selection of new and used items can't be beat! Laid-back atmosphere is great too.. Bad: This store is PACKED, but that just means there is a lot to choose from! Need an appointment to consign which can be a bit of a hassle.. Improvements: I wish it were bigger!. more

I agree with what everyone is saying, but I just want to add one more thing. Anyone who has ever tried California Baby products on their child with sensitive skin - their sold here, and their not easy to find. Usually, they have to be ordered online. The other products they sell a lot of are the Burt's Bee's stuff! Good source with clothes shopping as a plus! more

Go to Kids on 45th. They do consignment, and sell new kids toys, clothing, and all the baby paraphernalia. The staff is really nice, they keep an account for all of the baby and kid clothes your's have outgrown, and they giftwrap too. I especially like the cotton separates - they are long-sleeved tee shirts and pants that come in many bright colors. I've purchase lots of baby gifts there. more

I have been shopping here since my daughter was a baby. From the beginning, I found so much that she needed - from clothes to gear to toys. Especially for younger kids (toddler and younger) you can't beat the selection and the value. For older kids - hmmm. My daughter is growing so fast, that I need to replenish her wardrobe at leat every 6 weeks. Sadly, the selection in her size (10/12) is much smaller. The only complaints I have are the hours (why does a store for families close at 6 for Pete's sake?) and the consignment policy. You now must make an appointment to bring clothes in during weekday hours - almost impossible to do for a working parent. Please - couldn't we have one night past 6? more

This little store is packed full of sensible kids clothes. It is a little hard to look through things as somone is always trying to squeeze past, but some very functional clothes can be found here for very reasonable prices. They also have a line of new cotton knit clothes and they sell consigned strollers and a few other gear items. They also take clothing on consignment. All that being said, I rarely shop here. Too crowded and not that great of deals. more

this is a really cute shop for kids on 45th street in wallingford. they have clothes and items for all kids of all ages, but tons of infants and toddlers stuff. they buy and sell kids clothes and items. if your kids could use some new clothes, try this place before you hit the department stores! it feels sooo good to support small, independent shops! more

We have been going to Kids on 45th for many years and have found its a great place to recyle the kids items which they have outgrown. Aging in infant to about 14, they have quite a mix. They do not take ripped or faded or stained items which is great for the buyers. Nobody wants to sort through that stuff! While Kids doesnt buy your stuff right out they put it on consignement and in-turn you get store credit to spend on new or used stuff which they sell. They sell some really nice botique type brands. Kids is worth checking out if you've got kids of any age. more

New, you can find Robeez shoes, all sorts of Bjorn merchandise, locally crafted baby items, California Baby toiletries. Used items range from pregnancy/parenting books to games and toys to clothing. The used items change all the time and you can really find just about anything for your child. There is a great selection of toys and games, gear such as diaper covers, bottles, child safety stuff like gates and cupboard locks, bed rails, strollers, high chairs, bouncy seats. And racks of clothes are bursting at the seams with their offerings. Literally every corner rewards you another surprise. I would never buy something new for my child without checking this store a few times to see if I could find it there first. It also is a great resource for parents in that you can consign any items your child has outgrown. What a great way to declutter your life and keep your child provided for and still keep your budget. more

Everyone with kids knows how hard it is to find good, affordable items. I love this place and get stuff for friend’s kids as well. The selection is hit or miss, but the staff is great and there are a ton of fun things to find. Double-check condition of items, but most of it is pretty safe and in good condition. I encourage you to check it out, the prices are nice. more

The store is jammed packed with good stuff, about half of it is new and half is on consignment. Tons of toys and books. The staff is really helpful and will help you find what you need. The return policy isn't that great - so be sure you want what you are buying and check out the condition of used items carefully. more

I highly recommend this store for both consigning and buying for your kids stuff. They only will carry top quality stuff (no stained or ripped items allowed). If you stuff doesnt sell, they donate it. If your stuff does sell you get a % of it in credit there. They always have a great selection! They also carry botique items. I highly recommend this place. We've been going there for years! more

If you only ever go to one consignment shop, let this be the one. Kids on 45th is cramped, but if you are after bargains, this is the place to find them. Used toys are abundant and cheap, as are slings, bjorns, backpacks, diaper genies, potties, breastpumps...they have just about everything. I have been to most of the consignment shops in the area, and this one is far cheaper. They also have an excellent selection of used books. more
