  • Costco Photos Are Cheap and VERY High Quality

    Rating:

They aren't online, but if you know someone with a membership, you can get prints for 0.19 cents apiece.

They are of good enough quality to sell (trust me, I'm a digital photographer and have sold the 4x6 prints in custom greeting cards at art fairs)

Service is quick, and you bring the photos in on CD or flash cards. For the more serious photographers, you can even download and use a custom .icc profile file that EACH lab provides.

They usually can get them done within a couple of hours. Go early and you have a better shot of getting them by the time you're done shopping.

Just remember that here and with any online processor that you're images WILL be truncated. The aspect ratio of digital camera files is different than the aspect ratio of prints. This means you'll get bars cut off the top or sides until the two match. If you have an image editing software you should try cropping to the ratio of 4x6.

  • Blinds from Costco

    Rating:

I purchased all the window blinds for my home from Costco and I couldn't be happier with their quality and the ease of the ordering process. You do have to be very accurate when measuring! I'm not very handy and was having a bit of an ordeal installing the blinds myself. Finally I called the manufacturer (in Woodinville) and they referred me to someone for installation. The poor man must have heard the desperation in my voice and he had the blinds up throughout the house in around an hour! Anyway, he said that the price Costco members pay for the blinds is generally less than decorators pay for the same blinds. So, I found the price to be excellent and the quality of merchandise to be even better!

  • Costco ... does it better

    Rating:

I can only say that going to Costco is an enjoyable trip. Not only do I find 'almost' everything I am looking for, I get it at excellent prices. Whether it be food, electronics, books, movies, clothing, equipment, etc. It is at Costco.

I bought my iPod for $10 less than ANYWHERE (including the apple store). AND, I know that Costco has one of the best return policies.

Don't forget to eat, while you are there. They are almost everywhere in the country and (thank heavens) they are expanding!!!!

Can anyone do it better, I think NOT!

  • if you've got a membership...

    Rating:

...this is a prime time to use it. costco has a great selection of tv's at low prices. and while you are there, you can fill up on the costco snacks that they serve all over the store!

they have an online site where you can check out some of their goods, it's costco.com. but the site only shows a fraction of what's in the store, so don't get discouraged if you are not finding what you want.

  • Great Pumpkin Pie

    Rating:

I am not one for puchased pies because homemade is always best. However, my family (and me too!) loves the pumpkin pie from Costco. It's huge, tasty, and really cheap (I think $6). The down side is that it is hard to pull it off as your own, you know, if you have an image to uphold.

    Good luck.

  • A tub of Pickles for $3!!! whoohoo

    Rating:

I just experienced the wonder that is Cosco for the first time three weeks ago. I was awestruck. It really is worth the membership price because the savings are so great. My boyfriend and I usually ended up running to Safeway every other day for odds and ends and it resulted in spending way too much money on groceries. With Cosco, we spent a good chunk of money, but it will last us the whole month and it is way less then we would have spent at Safeway! It will be hard to find 'organic' and natural choices, but they do have a few things and they are adding more all the time, from what I hear. Go for the frozen foods selection and go for the gas!

  • Let there be....GAS!

    Rating:

O.K. Maybe I'm easily excited but this is the best news I've discovered since I saw Nick & Nora pajamas at Target.

The downtown Costco location now has gas. No more driving north to get your car filled on the cheap! WA-HOO!

  • Good Mattress at a Reasonable Price

    Rating:

We bought our latest mattress at Costco because we realized (after a long search of mattress shops) the place offers good name brands at a reasonable price. Some mattress specialty stores advertise heavily on TV commercials, but their prices are not that competitive. We have been pretty happy with the mattress we bought at Costco. They also offer product delivery (with additional delivery fee.)
