If you prefer meats, you will be in heaven. The father of Mario Batali went off to Italy to learn how to case sausages and he came back a star! They have lamb that's delish and also usually a soup and pasta entree. The place is small and crowded and you sit with your food at shared tables where wine flows (and you just tell them at the end how much you drank) and conversation buzzes. The meats are amazing, the cheeses delish and the employees all seem related to Armandino somehow- they are funny and love what they do. Try to go on a Thurs (?) and you'll see an older woman making homemade gnocchi in the front window. Get there early or be prepared to stand in line. Lunch only.
