We attended a program at Meany Theatre and found that a two block walk got us to Schulzy's Sausage. Our party tried the Schultzy's Sausage burger--declared delish, the Kosher Sausage with Sauerkraut, side salads, and a Pepper steak sandwich. Fries were salty and thin and crisp, good. Salads were fresh and they redid mine without cheese without question. Beers and soft drinks were delivered quickly, in fact, our friends arrived before us and were offered three samplers of beer to try. Cool. They even split the checks between the two parties. Bathrooms were a little tight but clean. Neat place.

Its ok. The atmosphere is unique, very Bavarian. The service was quick and friendly. The food... ehh. I got the veggie burger, def not the "best veggie burgers in town". Both the burger and the fries were overdone. The burger was over charred and the fries were too crisp. The coleslaw was good. My husband said his sausage was good but not big enough to warrant the name "junk yard" Its probably a good place for a couple beers with friends but I don't think the food is worth a stop.

Schultzy's is one of the more delicious lunchtime restaurant options on the Ave. They have nice service, gigantic portions, and great plate options. It gets pretty crowded during the lunchtime rush, but the wait is definitely worth it. I found it worthwhile to err on the side of ordering not-too-spicy; my dog definitely had a kick to it. Oh and the fries... they will not disappoint. Have been touted as the best in Seattle.

I always bring family and friends here when they come to visit. The sausage and fries are amazing and the atmosphere is extremely comfortable. The staff is amazing at getting you in and out in an efficient time. My absolute favorite is the Gumbo! You can replace your fries for the gumbo and have a really hearty meal. My friends and family rant and rave about this place and always want to come back when they are in Seattle.

A fine selection of German brews all year long. Good sausage and burgers, but they tend to oversalt the fries. They have a resonably nice patio, but it's small and tends to fill up quick on the weends. Good choice for beer if you aren't fond of smoke. Prices are reasonable, and they have some good specials.

The other night I was craving a sausage- actually really wanting a chicken apple sausage and so from a friend's recommendation, I hit Shultzy's. WOW. I was not disappointed- yummy! The fries are to die for, the mustard selection is excellent, the sandwiches yum (I ended up with a chicken variation but they mostly have pork/beef offerings) and they have great beers on tap and fresh squeezed lemonade. Can't beat it!
