I ate at the OK Corral in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood a while back (years actually) and really enjoyed it. If you can get over the fact that the food is prepared and served basically in Otis's (I think that's his name) living room, the place has tons of charm and offers service with a smile. I read Brooke's review and that wasn't my experience at all. The two times I'd been there I asked for and got "The Hookup". A hodgepodge of cooked meats, greens, beans, potatos etc. Not saying it's the best BBQ in Seattle or the cleanest place but a good place to eat at nonetheless.

I had such high hopes for a good neighborhood bbq joint, and this place was disgusting. Besides the filthy environs and the surly waitress who was dripping sweat into our water, the food was very mediocre. Portions were large, but the food wasn't tasty and was quite fatty... a much better option is Pecos Pit in SoDo.

Approaching this place one is struck by the mish-mash of indoor furniture in front of the shacky joint. The 'hmm"s continue once you get inside and there are three big table in a liiitle room, with the linoleum torn up in the hallway to expose the floor. However, if the decor doesn't scare you away, you're in for a real treat. The portions are big, inexpensive and tasty, if a little heavy on the vinegar. The greens are amazing. After a dining experience here, you realize that the place is all about the food itself, which is done very well. Also, the staff is very friendly.
