Judy's Book, Zillow.com, MPire, and Inrix had the second 5-Minute Jobbing event there on 12/8/05. The staff were extremely helpful, the food was good, and the selection on tap was terrific. On a summer day, the Red Door's deck becomes a hub of liesurely people watching and beer sipping. Check it out if you're in the area.

I've now been to the Red Door a few times. They have an excellent large patio bar that gets great evening light and is a fun place to grab a beer while the sun goes down. The interior is comfortable with a few great wood bars.
Their pulled pork sandwich is excellent, and they have a strong beer selection. The staff is friendly and laid back, making it all around an enjoyable destination. I haven't been there on a weekend, so I can't quite respond to some of the other comments.

I had a great experience at the Red Door. The place wasn't too crowded on the night we were there. Food was good and I recall the prices being a bit lower than the average Seattle pub. It's big size and L shape helps it accommodate lots of people without feeling crowded. If you're looking for a happy hour option or meetup spot in Fremont, check them out.

This place is OK, every time I have gone in it has been very crowded, but the bad kind of crowded, like very meat market-ish and yuppy. It was just so-so with me. The service was ok, but I am not a fan of working all day and having to stand with a beer. I had a sandwich that was pretty good, but nothing outstanding. I would rather sit down and pay good prices in a more laid back environment. Not very original.

I did not enjoy myself at this Fremont bar. It was far too noisy, smoky, and crowded for my taste- I couldn't even hear my friends at the same table. I did not think my drink was that great and the bathroom was a mess the night I went. There are other places I would rather go, to actually talk to the people I'm with rather than shouting across a sea of strangers.

I've been here twice and both times this place was way too crowded. It was THE place to go for a while and now it is the place people go to hoping someone cool will show up. Both times that I went the place with packed with guys. Just guys. I don't recommend going here on the weekend. A week night might be better.

I used to be a loyalist to the "old" Red Door because I missed the cozy atmosphere - but I've finally come around and learn to appreciate what the new one has to offer. I LOVE the outdoor bar and patio. They have a great beer selection. And really good food. I've only been there once when the waitress was a bit on the snotty side, so for the most part the service is quite good - even when the crowds start getting a bit drunk and disorderly.
Pros: Beer, Patio, Food
Cons: atmosphere

I would never go here to start the night, but it's fun ending up there, about an hour or two before the bars close. Yeah, its usually crowded, but its a good place to meet people and its usually even easy to get a table if you want one. Good drinks and good prices. The women's bathroom is always clean, too!
Pros: Friendly staff, nice bathrooms, Good drinks

go during the day or early in the week. it gets too busy, sweaty, and snotty later and on weekends. the bar staff may be cute but cant seem to stop checking out themselves to do their job. hold off on the shots and serve, be a rock star on your own time. the food is still good though and the beer selection is good, liquor is a bit over priced. its not belltown, as much as everyone thinks and hopes.
Pros: beer selection, good food, good for daytime
Cons: , sweat box when busy, drunk bartenders

If you are looking for a good time with friends, DO NOT GO TO THE RED DOOR. They use to be a fun neighborhhod bar, but sadly have lost their identity. The staff at the Red Door are extremey rude, the drinks are overpriced and the food is horrible. One of the worst bars in Seattle.
