I am a big fan of getting home a little too late to make dinner and ordering take out. My house has a few restaurants that we frequently order from and Sea Thai is at the top of our list. Everything always tastes great, the portions are quite generous and the price fits our budget.

This is Sea Thai on 45th in Wallingford. They are pretty good, but not always consistent. You can always tell when mama is cooking, as her dishes are what they're supposed to be. She makes the best Phad Thai, and several of the fish dishes are good. The Thai iced tea, one of my personal, fattening favorites, is top notch!

I just started working in the neighborhood so I checked out Sea Thai during the lunch hour. There is no other reason I ever would have set foot in this place - it looks so junky from the outside. But... as the saying goes, appearances can be deceiving. I now have to force myself to eat elsewhere just to get a little variety. Their Phad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) are so killer! And it arrives with a salad coated in warm peanut sauce dressing on the side, all for $5.50! Could you ever ask for more? I suppose you could ask for free Wi-Fi while you dine, because otherwise, lunch alone could be oh, oh so lonely.

Sure on the outside the lights look a bit cheezy and the space seems too small- don't be fooled. Sea Thai is the gem of Wallingford and they deliver for free in a pretty wide zone! We have eaten there several times and have found highlights to be: panang curry with tofu, green curry, pad see yoo, and drunken angel (peanut sauce over spinach), etc. The service is great- friendly and talkative and the food is top notch.
