I went to the Sitting Room on a Thursday night, around 9'ish. It was pretty sparse but not dead (around 8-10 other people, mostly couples). It worked well for what I was looking for -- a relaxed atmosphere where we could sit down and have a conversation. The wines recommended by our waitress were great, and the appetizers pretty good. I left around 11pm and there were still the same number of people.

The happy hour at the Sitting Room in Queen Anne is a great after work stop. The happy hour runs from 5-7 and includes well drinks, house red and white and a few beers. The food selection while limited was good: cheese plate, smoked salmon plate, salami plate and a few others.
The small bar/restaurant was packed at 6:30--we got the last table on a Tuesday night! Definitely a 20 something scene and worth it for the tasty and affordable bites and drinks.

Classy little happy hour or prefunk scene. The cheese plate is hit or miss. Drinks are usually good. Try the pear sidecar.

The Sitting Room is a great restaurant / bar in lower Queen Anne that is off the radar. The place has a good buzz, an eclectic mix of customers, and a real local feel. The cocktails are strong but tasty (my favorite is the pomegranate martini) and standard in price. The food menu is simple but it does not disappoint. My friends and I tried the Panino #3 (with brie, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes), the cheese board, the salami and cornichons (pickles), and the Spanish blue / bosc pears / walnut salad. The portions were generous. The staff was pretty friendly and attentive.
