What a dive lunch place. The name is Bakeman's and it is on Cherry between 1st and 2nd Avenue. They make their own turkey daily, and their own bread. I love the turkey with cranberry, for around $3.00. It's a caffeteria line, and the staff is very abrupt and salty! I love this place.

I seriously do not know why people whould come here for lunch! The owner, the guy who is always at the cash register, is extremely rude. Maybe he thinks it's funny. I wonder how he feels about it if somebody else yell at him all the time. Even all the other workers are full of attitudes too. It's well know the staff turn over rate is very very high. I would not pay a penny to eat here!

Bakeman's is great. The place is packed every day of the week. They sell real turkey sandwichs (as in the kind of turkey that you make at thanksgiving). My advice is to learn the ordering system or you will be in big trouble for holding up the line!!! Light on dark refers to light meat of dark bread. There is also dark on light and mixed. The place is always busy, but do not be intimidated by the line because it is fast-moving. The guy who rings you up will always try to sell you pie!! I hear it is good, but have never fallen for it yet!!!! The prices are great, with a sandwhich costing about $4.10. The downside is that some guys tell me one is not enough to fill them up.
