I love the atmosphere at Greenlake. Their service can be slow, but if you aren't in a hurry...it can be relaxing. In the summer, the walls open up, so you can feel the breeze too. If you go here, though, there's a dessert you need to order with your meal so it's ready when you want it - they bake it when it's ordered. It's a Tollhouse cookie baked in a small pan and then toped with vanilla ice cream!! It really hits the spot - add a little coffee (which they make really well) and you're good.

Blue water Bistro in Leschi is a great place to go for casual food with a great view. It's the same food as the other locations including great fish and chips, salads and burgers. They can accomodate large parties which is nice and have a fireplace in the middle as well as a great list of hot after dinner drinks for the inevitable cold Seattle evenings. They also have a ton of outdoor seatings--at least 25 tables but it overlooks the road not the water.

This is why you want to live in the Green Lake/Tangletown neighborhood, all the great restaurants!! Walk to wonderful restaurants like the Blue Water Bistro for their delightful calamari served with a very spicy chipolte dipping sauce. Serve that up with their tasty chopped green salad, which is so plentiful there is enough to share. Enjoy all with a yummy drink and complete the evening with a brisk walk home. Excellent indeed.

I love the Greenlake location, and just today tried out the Lake Union location. Both are very nice, and they are very different from each other. The Lake Union location has great views, whereas the Greenlake restaurant has a sexy, romantic feel. The food is the same, and is awesome in both places. Today I had the Ceasar Salad with Salmon, and it was delish. My hubby had the steak sandwich and also enjoyed it very much. Extensive wine list, inventive desserts and great service. What more could you ask for? This place is a favorite.

The blue water bistro in greenlake has a great view of the lake and a contemporary, romantic decor - I love the fireplace in the front and the lighting. Now if only they had good food across the board and service that wasn't hired primarily for their looks instead of their customer service skills. Because of its proximity, we have been there several times and 80% of the time the waitresses make you feel like your presence is an imposition. The food is decent but unoriginal and very overpriced. If you go, go for appetizers, deserts, or drinks and eschew the entrees. Bar is good in terms of variety but again overpriced.

The Blue Water Bistro is one of my favorite "special" restaurants. I've been to the Green Lake location and the Lake Union location. The food is good, and there's something for everyone (steaks, sea food, a burger, gigantic salads). They also have tasty cocktails and a good beer selection. But the BEST part is their awesome desserts. The "s'mores for 2" is fun, and so tasty. The still warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie is also amazing. The Lake Union location has an awesome view and a fun "boat" atmosphere. The Green Lake location is more romantic.

Blue Water Bistro is a fun place for drinks or food. They have a big patio with space heaters, so you can enjoy the fresh air even when it's cold outside. It's a popular nightspot for the 20-something crowd. The appetizers are tasty, and the chocolate fondue is great to share with a group of people.
