Like the others I Luke their breakfasts.

Last night I went here with several gal pals. We're all in the mid-30 to low-40 age ranges and some of my friends couldn't get out of there fast enough. Basically it was cleavage...

Great place for happy hour 12/14/2011

Went here for happy hour. Food was really good. Service was a bit slow though but it was totally worth the wait. more

Great food and times 12/14/2011

Really love their happy hour. Great deal as long as you can find a seat. Waitresses are pretty friendly if they're not slammed. Try the beef bites...heavenly! more

Great atmosphere for HH 12/10/2009

Loved the atmosphere. The dishes for HH are $4 or $5. Chop Chop Salad was great. Love it! Chicken Tacos are great too! more

Best breakfasts!! 11/8/2007

We love this place for the breakfast happy hour that they have in the mornings. The food is lovely and the service is pleasant. I love the crab eggs benedict. Tasty. Not sure what the food is like after breakfast, but if it is anything like the breakfasts, than I am sure it is amazing. For a pleasant morning, and some lovely food, go here. It is well worth it. more

Late night meat market 1/27/2007

Last night I went here with several gal pals. We're all in the mid-30 to low-40 age ranges and some of my friends couldn't get out of there fast enough. Basically it was cleavage galore and it seemed that there were men of all ages but the females were almost exclusively low 20-somethings. A little creepy. If you want space you won't find it. The location is large but it was so packed you couldn't help but have people rubbing all over you as they passed by. Ick. It's also one of those places where you can imagine a lot of drinks being spilled on patrons or staff because no one is willing to get out of the way of anyone else. more

pesos is good for breakfast too 6/7/2006

A friend of mine suggested that we go to pesos one morning for breakfast because he heard it was a good one. We arrived that morning and the place was packed. I didn't realize that Peso's served breakfast. Breakfast is one of my favorite things in the world. We had to put our names in and the hostess was really nice to take down our cell number so we could go scout out lower Queen Anne. About 5 minutes later we got the call and were seated. Our waitress was extremely attentive and kept refilling our coffee with delicious Cafe Vita. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.I ordered the blueberry pancakes with a die of eggs and my friend ordered eggs benedict with hemplar bacon I believe it was. As we ate and chatted people kept pouring in sitting in the dining area or heading over to the bar. I would suggest hitting this place up after a long night or taking visiting relatives for a good "urban" experience. more

Best Margarita's in town 12/8/2005

If you're like me and you love a good margarita, then Peso's is the place to go. Ask for the Bartenders margarita, that is my favorite! Peso's is a bar, but also a great restaurant, and they have some of the best mexican food around. My favorite appy, is probably the beef bites. This tends to be a pretty hopping place on the weekends. Lots of people in their twenties, so if you want a table you must get their early. more

surprisingly good 9/29/2005

For a long time, I only thought of Peso's as a cheezy meat market bar. But it's a surprisingly good restaurant as well. When I lived in Queen Anne, I had a lot of great dinners and brunches there. The brunch menu is sort of an upscale tex-mex take on brunch with lots of fun stuff like eggs benedict with jalapenos and chorizo. And they have great coffee. It's not just a terrible bar! more

Great Mexican Food--- 8/18/2005

For some of the best Mexican food in Seattle, check out Peso's on Queen Anne. The restaurant is quite small and one can pretty much always expect a wait for a table. The bar is always packed- and is a great singles scene. Its best to arrive early, especially when there is an event at Seattle Center, and this is not the place to bring children. more

Great Mexican Food 8/17/2005

I know this place is better known as a great bar to go to when you need to meet a member of the opposite sex. But the quality of the food here is far too often overlooked. Great menu selection and great prices. And the hangover breakfasts on the weekends are fantastic. more

Best Happy Hour in Seattle! 8/16/2005

If you like Mexican food, this is your place. Seven days a week until 7 p.m. and again starting at 10 p.m., you can get quesadillas, taquitos, salads, and more for only $4 each. Their extensive happy hour menu has something for everyone. It may be tough to get a seat so come early. Great margaritas, too! more

Low key happy hour and great salsa! 7/19/2005

Although dinner can be over priced in the dining room, happy hour in the bar is well worth it. The bartenders are friendly and pour a great drink. The happy hour menu will certainly tame your hunger after work. If you aren't interested in dinner the complimentary chips and fresh salsa (mmmmm so good) go great with the house margaritas or pretty much any drink at the bar! I recommend going right after work during the week and sitting at the bar. The bar can get very crowded later in the evening and on the weekends. more

Definitely worth a stop! 6/16/2005

When my husband & I first moved to Seattle we lived in lower Queen Anne and Pesos was a great place to go for food & drink. The drinks are good, the food is tasty and the crowd is lively. You should certainly put this one on your list. P.S. Can I go too? :) more

Peso's es muy bien 5/24/2005

Peso's is a great restaurant by day and bar by night. Thursday nights are always packed with a fun crowd and good music. Happy hour runs forever and they have excellent munchies while you are drinking whatever. Appetizers like ahi tuna, nachos, coconut prawns, etc. are featured during happy hour. This is a fun spot to go with a group of friends because they have booths but they're pretty scarce during prime time. more

Good thing for the margaritas 5/6/2005

I've been going to Pesos for several years now, and the steak tacos are always good. The margaritas are better. The chicken, well, it's been raw twice in the past 4 visits and I got food poisoning from some bad prawns once. Stick to the liquor or drink enough so it kills the bad bacteria. For the single crowd this is a good spot, but I'd place my bet on the El Camino in Fremont for the rest fo us (who enjoy their food cooked and a more intersting atmopshere--and the outside deck...) more

  • In Short
The high ceiling is lipstick-red, cheesy bullfight art covers the lounge's back wall and the back bar couldn't be gaudier. It's tawdry--and fun. The fare presents few surprises, except for its spiciness. Unlike family-oriented Mexican places, this joint holds nothing back. Carne asada (broiled flank steak) and camarones al mojo de ajo (grilled shrimp in garlic butter) come in two versions: standard and diablo (with that devilish roasted habanero sauce).
