This is your typical greasy spoon diner (with out being greasy). Great spot, solid food. The best hashbrowns! Usually you can get right in. They only except cash, which is the only drawback. However, it's also in a great neighborhood to walk off you breakfast. There are lots of cute shops around and the Farmer's Market on Sunday.

I can't say it's great, but it is a good dive to go for cheap breakfast that tastes good. Think "greasy spoon" and you'll know what to expect: good food, black coffee, vinyl booths and green carpet. Great for that morning after.

I haven't tried the lunches but if you get a chance to check out Vera's, try out the Ballard Scramble...and if you're in Queen Anne, check out the Queen Anne Scramble at the Queen Anne Cafe. Pros: Quick to server, Great Food, Large dishes

If I could make breakfasts like the ones I can get at Vera's I would never eat out again! I've had something different every time I've been there and I still haven't ordered something that wasn't great! My favorite so far has been the veggie omelet. :) FYI, remember to bring cash because this place doesn't take plastic. Pros: great selection Cons: doesn't take plastic
