I love a good greasy spoon, but Vera’s isn’t the greatest, or the cheapest greasy spoon in town. The hours are very limited, the service is rude, and the coffee is bad. On weekends, Vera’s proximity to the Sunday Market makes it a popular place, but it really isn’t worth the wait.

I love a greasy spoon but even more, one that I can walk to. Fixes a hangover with a quickness, and the coffee is fresh-ground excellence.

I would rate Vera's in Ballard as one of the best places to serve breakfast. Their food is appetizing and made to perfection in its old fashioned way. They also have a great lunch menu including tasty club sandwiches and burgers. So next time you are looking for a good place to eat, then try out Vera's.
