Come to Gordito's hungry, because they've got the biggest portions (for the cheapest prices) I've seen in Seattle. This is fast-food Mexican done with good, fresh ingredients and turned out in a noisy open kitchen with an incredible level of heat and activity, right behind the cash register. The burritos are gigantic and the tacos and quesadillas similarly sized. Everything's cheap, ranging from $3 (for tacos) to $6 or so (for a "wet" burrito). The meat is occasionally of low quality, gristly or tough, but it's always well done. The beans, rice and guacamole are good. And the salsas at the salsa bar are worth checking out -- they run a nice gamut of heat and flavor. This is a great place to go for a lot of food, or a lot of leftovers.

Gordito's is known around Seattle for making some of the largest Burrito's on the planet, for a cheap price. Most places would have to sacrifice quality to put out such a large cheap product. This is not true of Gordito's. The Grande Burrito is delicious and depending on how hungry you are, can feed you for two or three days. Next time you want a burrito, don't run for the border, stop at Gordito's.

Welcome to the best Mexican restaurant in Seattle. Large portions of authentic food, numerous salsa and food selections, the cheap prices, and the atmosphere that makes you think you have just stepped into a restaurant in Encinada, Mexico. There is no bar, but they do serve at least two different types of beer.

I really don’t know how healthy the food is. It is, after all, Mexican food, and quite a bit of cheese is involved. More questionably, the portions are large enough that eating a dish in its entirety might well blow your stomach apart. Finally, and especially in light of the portion size, the prices are so low as to suggest something sinister.
With that said, I know the ingredients are mighty fresh—because everything is cooked (had you the patience to not take chips and deliciously warmed salsa to a table) in front of your eyes. Colorful and fraying donkey figurines mark your table so that the food can be delivered posthaste. The one obstacle is, of course, its popularity. The soon-to-open Queen Anne location might alleviate some of the wait, as I can easily imaging people making the drive from queen anne, magnolia, or parts further south. If not, the lines often stretch out the door.
You can, of course, call ahead and take your food home. This is an option which apparently allows you to skirt the formed line and negotiate a purchase promptly, though I’m not sure how I feel about it. In doing so, however, you lose the precious juices. The food is juicy. Good-juicy. And I haven’t been able to avoid losing a pool of juices escaping the Styrofoam container. That’s a shame, because the juice belongs in the food. This is where it remains if you stick it out. Or go earlier in the day. But, go.

We took our parents here last time they came to Seattle and now they're looking for excuses to get back up here to go to Gorditos! The burritos are delicious and HUGE!!! One burrito can feed two, with leftovers for the next day. The atmosphere is festive and the staff is helpful. They're tie-died shirts make them easy to identify. I highly recommend this place for anyone who likes Mexican food.

Gorditos is a spectacular Mexican restaurant that sells plenty of delicious looking meat dishes, but also has a unique option for vegetarians (like me) that is excellent: a really really good tofu burrito.
Inside the burrito is tofu chunks that have been grilled with onions and bell peppers, whole beans, other good stuff, and then if you order it wet, it gets a nice layer of cheese and salsa and then put under a broiler until it browns and bubbles.
There is a salsa bar at Gorditos with a really delicious selection of home made salsas that are can slather onto your meal.
The tofu burrito is not some lame vegetarian meat-burrito substitute, it shines on its own and is a super variation from the typical cheese/refried bean vegetarian options available at many mexican restaurants.

This is definitely the place to go if you love mexican food but want to try and be healthy. The food is delicious and portions are so huge that it usually provides two meals (unless you are famished!!!). There is nothin that I do not like about this place!! It is always busy (some might think that this is a draw-back, but I think it is a great atmosphere). The food is consistently good.

That's right. There's pictures to prove it. The size...of a baby. The Super. I'm too afraid to try it.
But their other stuff is amazing. I don't know why they consider it healthy per say, considering it gives my digestive system a work out everytime I go. Totally worth it, of course.
Good Salsa, good wet burritos. Their sodas have the good kind of ice that look like little pellets. Mmmm, pellet ice. They're super nice and give you little pinata looking donkeys with fun Mexican names to mark your table. I believe they're closed on Tuesdays.

My favorite, as a vegetarian, is the tofu burrito which has sauteed veggies and tofu along with the regular burrito fixin's for $5!!! And, the burritos, even regular sized, are HUGE.
The downside is the often long lines but the upside is the chips & salsa you can snack on while you wait for your order.
