That was the beginning of my family's experience with dinner at Endolyne Joe's the other night. I've never been referred to as THE female by a waiter before and it set the stage for a, shall I say, interesting dining experience.
Well, the female and the older male ordered iced tea to drink. The younger males wanted apple juice. The little ones, after a small wait, received their juices while their thirsty parents waited and waited for their iced tea. Finally, my husband had to remind the waiter of our order and he then gave us warm iced tea.
The food was ok. My husband got flank steak tacos that were ok, not great. My shrimp salad was sub par. The shrimp was undercooked and over-seasoned. Not a good thing, in my opinion.
Overall, I was not very satisfied with our meal and will probably not go there for dinner again. However, they do, like the rest of the Chow foods family, have a pretty nice breakfast.

This is a great place to go for breakfast in West Seattle. There is plenty of seating for small and large parties and it is very family friendly. The food is fantastic!!!

Any discussion of Endolyne Joe's must be prefaced with what was there before it. A few years back this space, just a few blocks up from the Fauntleroy ferry dock, housed a restaurant called The Saffron Cow. The Saffron Cow looked great, but the place was a mess, the serving crew seemed very unorganized . . . friends and I once waited an hour to be served a very mediocre cold sandwich. Turns out the management was all messed up, and the Saffron Cow went, very deservedly, under. I was incredibly pleased to find out that the space, which is beautiful, was bought up by Chow foods, the local chain that brought you the 5-Spot and the Coastal Kitchen. The space has finally become what it deserved to be all along, a well run, funky restaurant. Like the rest of Chow Foods restaurants, the menu revolves seasonally around a theme like "New Orleans" or "Key West" and there is finally a good place for brunch in West Seattle. Friendly service too! (By the way, I am such an old timer, I remember when the space was a crowded neighborhood convenience store.)

I've been wanting to try Endolyne's for *ages*...and finally on Sunday morning, we did. I was concerned there'd be a line, as there often is one as I drive by.
We got there about 9-ish and no line at all.
I was suprised at how big the restaurant is, inside. There were also a few outside seats....and there is a parking lot, which was packed but there is plenty of street parking.
The selection is good, your typical Seattle brunch fare. I had the "Po-ta-ta Frittata" and that was YUMMY. Carmelized onions, potatoes, spinach...and I think cheese with the eggs. That was about $8.
They are also baby-friendly; always a plus in my book. They have many high-chairs, a changing table in the restroom, and a kid's menu; but the breakfast items are $3.95-- so it's probably better to share your plate, as we did, unless you know you're little one will eat most of the their plate :)
V. good and will go back again and since we live close by will definitely take family here.
I've been told after 9:30am, that's when the lines really start.

One of only 2 restaurants in the area, Endolyne Joe's is impressive hangout that sits a block or two up from the Faunterloy Ferry dock.
It is very family friendly. It offers breakfast all hours of the day and boasts an impressive menu and wine selection.
Above all Joes is always a happening place. It is always busy, but not so busy you are waiting outside (that is unless you are attempting Sun am breakfast or something).
Joes offers a mixed bag of menu items which are impressive.
The waitstaff is very outgoing and friendly. If you live in the West Seattle area and have not yet tried Joes.. you are missing out!

My favorite restaurant in West Seattle. The folks from Chow foods took this great space (used to be the Saffron Cow) and made a good restaurant. You can be guaranteed a good cup of coffee, great service and really good food. Like their other restaurants half of their menu rotates, but with a pulled pork sandwich for lunch or sour cream cloud cakes for breakfast you won't get bored with their standing menu.
If you want a great bottle of wine for dinner take your own, but they always have good beer on tap and a creative bartender.
