To summarize: Phenomenal food, great service, nice ambiance. We went to Brasa to take advantage of the “25 for 25” offer (25 great Seattle restaurants offering $25 3-course dinners Sun-Thur for the month of March 2006), and absolutely loved it. To take advantage of the offer, you are limited to certain items on the menu, but that basically just eliminates about 3 items, so most of the menu is available to you. Most dinners on the menu normally cost slightly above $25, so it’s a deal even if you didn’t want the appetizer and dessert with it. But you do want them! Between the 3 of us, we had the tuna carpaccio, tomato orange soup, and mussels for appetizers (all excellent). Then steak, mushroom risotto, and paella for main courses (all three to die for), and frozen lemon mousse, mascarpone cheesecake (again, both really good), and cheese/fruit plate (which was the only thing the whole night that was good, but not outstanding). The place has a nice upscale ambiance and the service was seemless. If you can make it there on weeknights in March, it’s a steal for supreme food; if you make it there later, it’s still good value for the quality.

We visited Brasa on Sunday night, lured by the 25 for $25 promotion. The food was fantastic. Standouts from the meal included the tuna carpaccio, the beef tenderloin the paella and the frozen lemon mousse. I enjoyed the warm, modern interior and friendly service, but the food really stole the show.

Went to Brasa last night with a couple of friends to try out the 25 for $25 promotion and was blown away by the meal that we had. Only a few items on the menu were excluded from the promotion so we felt like we had ample choice. We shared Mussels, a tomato-orange soup and some excellent Tuna Carpaccio to start. This was followed by Wild Mushroom Risotto, Paella and an insanely good beef tenderloin. It was tender, medium-rare perfection. The highlight of the dessert course was a frozen lemon mousse served with mint garnish. As part of this promotion, the meal was a steal. Rahul PS: The steak at Brasa is some of the best I've ever had...tremendous.

Not sure if their business has increased due to Tamara Murphy's appearance on Iron Chef America, but our experience definitely did not live up to the hype. The portions were minuscule, while the flavor was bland. I was excited to try Brasa, as I'm always on the lookout for excellent, authentic Mediterranean food. That, however, is not what we received. The service was excellent, and very attentive. The food, lacked the punch one would expect for the price paid.

My wife and I took a couple of friends to Brasa on Friday night for dinner. After reading a bit about the restaurant, it seemed like a safe choice and for the most part it was. When we arrived at 7:30, I expected a crowded Belltown restaurant alive with energy but instead walked in to a place that was only a quarter full. The food was good and the service was attentive but relaxed. I had a spinach salad that had a little too much dressing on it and a suckling pig (house specialty evidently) that was ever so slightly over cooked. We enjoyed our meal at Brasa but felt like maybe the restaurant had seen better days.

I had some friends in town, so we decided to head over to Brasa for dinner since I've been wanting to try them out. They have an interesting atmosphere, but not very cozy... I guess, what I really want to share is that the food was INCREDIBLE. There were 8 of us, and we got at least 6 different dishes. The best one, i think was something like pig on the bone - or something like that ;)... juicy, tender meat, great flavor. Good choices of drinks, and great pina coladas. Apetizers need some work. Pricey, pricey, pricey... go on your payday, for sure!
