For me a sign of a good establishment is seeing the same staff over repeat visits. Icon has staff that have been there for years.
The private dining room is a great place for a small gathering, meeting or special event. We had our wedding dinner there and Icon was great to work with.

I have been to the Icon Grill twice, both for lunch and what I remember most, aside from the amazing interior, is the way my stomach felt afterwards. There was definitely something wrong with the food and others in my party had the same experience (there were 10 of us). On a previous lunch, I ordered an Ahi salad and it was seved well done and dry, not quickly seared as is customary. I can't recommend much more than the amazing artwork and pieces that adorn every inch of space. The bathroom is fun, too, and you'll need a visit, for sure.

The Icon Grill on 5th also has a private room that accomodates large parties. The food and service are excellent and the staff is very helpful. I always have a great time there.

This has always been my favorite place for a classy date in Seattle! You can dress up or down and the food is AMAZING (especially the mac 'n cheese, fried chicken, and hot fudge sunday)! The colors and warmth of the large, open room combined with the warmth of the servers just makes you leave feeling happy - always a big plus. When we go to have drinks, dinner, and dessert, we usually expect to pay about $100. a head.

The atmosphere here is almost better than the food (which is very good!) You cannot help but walk in here and be mesmerized by the hand blown glass that is literally everywhere - from artfully arranged in big groupings that hang from the ceiling in nets to the salt and pepper shakers on your table.
The menu is comfort food with flair. My favorite is the home made macaroni and cheese with tomato "snow" - this is simply to die for - dripping with a myriad of cheeses, crispy on the top and gooey and hot in the middle. Oh, YUM!

What a great place to enjoy happy hour! They have inexpensive drinks and delicious food (be sure to try the homemade mac and cheese - the best comfort food). This place is only a few blocks away from the Westlake Center (on the west side of 5th Ave). Its the perfect place to stop by after a long afternoon of shopping. The restaurant is decorated with blown glass and lots of fun artwork. Be careful around the holidays, they always seem to be full that time of year. You will probably need to make a reservation in advance.

Icon Grill is the epitome of Seattle Cuisine, presenting comfort foods (pasta, meatloaf, mac & cheese) with new variations. Frequently, the Icon twist works amazingly well, bringing new flavor and interest to old favorites. On occasion, the Icon formula fails to wow, but those occasions are few and far between. My personal favorite is the cajun rock shrimp penne, a very spicy take on modern pasta. Other favorites include the mac and cheese and tiger prawns with brie (special). Service is generally better than average for the area, attentive, but not intrusive. The decor is modern Seattle eclectic with beautiful glass sculpture and velvet upholstery throughout. Although the dining room tends to have a noisy buzz, it's not obstrusive; you can definitely have a conversation. The biggest knock on Icon may be value; although generally in the range for downtown Seattle, I always feel a tad cheated paying 10.95 for mac and cheese.

The Icon Grill is a unique and beautiful restaurant. There is a ton of pink blown glass hanging from the ceiling and fun decor. They serve the best Cosmopolitan's in the city. They also have the most amazing Hot Fudge Sundae I have ever had. Make sure you have at least a couple people to share it with you. It is quite the experience. I have eaten dinner a couple times but haven't been as impressed. Go for drinks or dessert.

Food was decent -- not great. The NY SIrloin was very good but my flank steak wasn't. Service was just ok.
I'd be willing to go back but wouldn't rush back.
