We came here for an early dinner. The restaurant has 2nd floor and we could have the Ballard street view in a Sunday afternoon, not bad at all!

Please beware!!! I got my credit card info stolen from Lomardi's. The waitress who did it is still working there. I ate there recently and received very poor service so I didn't leave a tip. I complained to the manager. He was very understanding and offered my family a free meal the next time I came in. The waitress was apparently upset and took my credit card info and posted it a public website. I've had to file a police report and the manager has NOT been helpful! Use cash if you decide to eat at Lombardis.

If you've ever walked through the parking lot of Wells Fargo in Ballard, or had the fortune of continuing down to the Ballard Health Club, you know what I'm talking about. There's this scent that lurks in the air, and beckons you to find it's source. I can't describe it except to say that it smells like someone is having a great meal, and you're missing out.
Curious, Alex and I went to Lombardi's the other day, and have already been back since. We had great food for a very reasonable price. As soon as they brought out the baked garlic clove to accompany our bread, they had me in the palms of their hands. I love garlic. Drenched in olive oil, and softened up in the oven, the garlic was a wonderful substitution for butter.
By the way, they have a three course dinner special for a pretty good price (like under $15?) You have to get there early, and it's only Sunday thru Thursday.

Some say that the Italian food here is merely middling, I say, so what? While it may be true that the dinner crowd is a bit…geriatric, I totally enjoyed my dining experience. The bottom line is that this is the same sort of middlebrow Italian fare one finds at a place like the Olive Garden, for similar prices. But why would you spend your money there, when you can dine here and get great service, better wine choices, and an excellent restaurant space and location?
