Service can be slow here, but the food is wonderful, especially the taramasalata appetizer. More

My fiancee and I have had several nice meals here. It isn't cheap, but it's a good meal out.
Their poultry and prawns have been especially good each time, the beef and pork less notable (at most restaurants, the chicken is bland and the beef tasty, but here it seems to be the reverse). Dessert recommended, as we've enjoyed all of them.
Service is friendly, and the atmosphere up front is quite nice. Towards the back, they might want to arrange their kitchen counter differently: it's stacked with dishes, silverware, coffee makers, etc, and that blocks the view of the "open" kitchen while making the tables in the rear feel as if they're part of the serving line. Ask for a spot up front!

My wife and I have been going to Eva for the past 4 years. We discovered it nearly by accident, and immediately fell in love with the place. It's one of our favorite spots for a nice meal and good glass of wine.
Eva is a small place near Green Lake. It's got seating for maybe 30 people in the restaurant, and a wine bar that has room for about the same number. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They are happy to recommend a dish and/or wine based on your preferences. And they will be honest if something you ask about isn't their favorite dish, and tell you why.
The menu is pretty simple, and it changes seasonally. They have 4-5 starters, 3-4 salads, and 4-6 main courses. It's all good, but for a starter I recommend the Tirasalad (sp?), which is essentially a humus made from potatoes. Or the Cabrales Flan. My wife is a big fan of the Tiger Prawns in the salad section.
As for main courses you really can't go wrong with any of them. My favorites are the rabbit with chorizo bread pudding (I have to confess it's as much about the bread pudding as the rabbit), and the pork loin. At the same time I recommend experimenting - I had halibut last time I was there and it was fantastic.
The wine list is friendly, and they are one of the few places I've been to with a nice selection of splits (for those who don't want to share a full bottle). If you like wine be sure to look at the dessert wine selection as well.
Speaking of dessert, save room. The house favorite is the trio, which is a nicely portioned assortment of offerings. Note that no dessert is overwhelmingly large.
Reservations are recommended; I've also found that if you drop in by 7 pm on most weeknights you can get a table. Weekends, forget about dropping in.

Located in the old Brie & Bordeaux location next to Luau, the restaurant and wine bar are sectioned off from each other nicely so the casual atmosphere of the wine bar doesn't effect the white tablecloth elegance of the restaurant.
We sat in the wine bar that had a nice long bar and ample table seating. The menu offers small plates at $4-6, snacks at $8 and dinner items at $14 -16 - so it fits any budget or appetite. The food was fresh and unique (I had roasted chicken w/blood oranges, green olives on a bed of lentils), and we had an organic wine that was great.

The atmosphere is very friendly and it is one of those restaurants with an open kitchen. There are lots of interesting selections. In meat department on our night out with Dave and Shelley, there was venison, buffalo and some wild boar.
Good wine list as well. I had the boar and no it did not taste like it was going to leap off the plate and growl, but it was tender and tasty.

Tucked away in the "Tangletown" neighborhood (between Greenlake and Wallingford), you will find one of Seattle's best restaurants.
You won't believe the delicious infusion of flavors - everything seems to be prepared with great thought and care. The menu changes to offer the freshest selections; the wine list and desserts are also also outstanding.
The ambience: low lit, cozy and romantic, with the kitchen in full view - very european feeling. A great place for a special dinner or to bring out-of-town foodies. Also, they have a wonderful bar - perfect if you're looking for light nibbles and/or a glass of wine.
