This is a great place if you want cheap and fast Mexican food. The chips act as a great starter and the meats are well marinated. More

It's not easy to find good, fast Mexican food North of downtown. They are one of them, easily beating the other chains. The food is fresh and tasty, the portions are generous, and the price is right. Unlike other places, they also have horchata and jamaica, a must in any Mexican food place. Too bad they're farther from downtown Fremont. :)

If you love straight-ahead Tex-Med (read: burritos and quesadillas), you'll love Tacos Guaymas. This is a no-nonsense cafeteria with great food made fresh. My personal favorite is the prawn quesadilla - a huge flour tortilla stuffed with grilled onions and peppers, crunchy prawns and perfectly melted cheese - but I've tried several other dishes (burritos mostly) and never had a bad meal. The people who work here are always quick with a smile, and there's a south-facing patio which makes a great perch on sunny days. As long as you don't come looking for hand-ground mole or "authentic" regional Mexican, you'll like what the nice folks at Tacos Guaymas have to offer.

Tacos Guaymas can and will fill you up. I'd go so far as to say it will FILL you UP! Everything else I can think of to explain this restaurant falls in the moderate adjective category. It's kind of good. It's somewhat expensive. The selection is fairly decent. Seating is tolerable (outdoor tables!) and parking is manageable.
Chips and Salsa are $1.00, which would be annoying if I ever actually bought them. Which I don’t.
If Azteca is 0 and a good Taco Truck is 10, then Tacos Guaymas is probably a 5. I'm obviously uncomfortable veering too far from 'middle of the road' territory. However the fact that every time I eat there it takes two hours to be able to breathe comfortably again should verify that it's worth a trip.
