PROS: The food is fast, fairly inexpensive, and the service is family-owned and friendly.
CONS: They give you way more rice than meat.

I work just a few blocks from Eastlake Teriyaki, so the idea of going for a short walk to grab some pho or other noodle dish for lunch is very appealing. As nice as this sounds Eastlake Teriyaki just hasn't risen to the occasion. For a teriyaki and pho place the prices are a little on the expensive side. On top of this the general fare just isn't that good. I'm not expecting world class food, but somehow they don't even make the grade for basic teriyaki. If I am pressed for lunch though, I may go back for the Yakisoba.

I've picked up food from Eastlake Teriyaki a number of times, and have never really enjoyed it. The teriyaki leaves my stomach in knots, and the Pho is average and more expensive than it should be. A friend of mine ordered teriyaki that ended up have chicken broth poured on it instead of teriyaki sauce...twice. This same friend when trying to order a small portion was told that it was for children, not men. That part was cool.
The lady behind the counter is very friendly, which keeps this from being a 1 star review.

After years of faithfully patronizing Teriyaki Bowl in Madison Park, I give Eastlake Teriyaki just 3 stars. While it does the job for lunch, the quality does not live up to my Teriyaki expectations. I've had the chicken and beef Teriyaki and both options lack the flavor and quality I've seen at other establishments.

My general theory on restaurants is that they should pick one thing and do it well. Eastlake Teriyaki does not subscribe to my theory.
They serve teriyaki, pho and yakisoba, among other things. When I first tried them I thought they were casting their nets a little too wide but I tried it anyway. I had the chicken teriyaki. It wasn't good. I'm no expert on describing flavors but the words bland and boring come to mind.
The next time I went (I know, I know, but it's close to work) I had the yakisoba. I'm no expert at describing textures, but the words chewy and wet cardboard refrigerator box come to mind.
I'm not going back. It's not good, even if it is within walking distance of the office.
One positive note: My coworker ordered the "small" and was ridiculed for ordering the "kids" portion by the woman behind the counter. That made it worth two stars.

Eastlake Teriyaki has great food, the lady behind the counter is always smiling and always on the ball. The best part of the experience is watching the daytime soap operas while you wait for your meal. This was a world of TV viewing I never knew existed. Scary.
My favorites food-wise are the Yakisoba and the Pho. The Chicken Curry is also great from time to time. I'm there at least weekly, so vote with my feet on this one.
Enjoy.

I got his one wrong, but can't find a way to actually delete a post. Hiroshi's is great, this is just OK.

I probably eat here 2-3 times a week, so I can confidently say that their food is good and has withstood the test of many, many meals. They have very good teriyaki (try the spicy chicken), and their Pho is also solid and makes for a nice changeup from the teriyaki.
