Earth and Ocean is located in the trendy, upscale W Hotel on 4th Avenue in the heart of downtown Seattle. I've been here for lunch several times and it is always hopping with people and for good reason. It's very good, the atmosphere and decor are soothing and attractive and the service is very friendly and they take good care of us lunch-hour folks and don't try to make us linger for 2 hours over a meal.

There are a bunch of restaurants offering 3 course dinners for $25 downtown - Earth & Ocean is one of them. They offer 3 selections of appetizers / main courses / and deserts. My selected starter (salmon / cucumber salad) and the main course (seared tuna steak) was excellent. Not so happy with the desert, the Black & Tan...chocolate...wouldn't order again. If you wanna play modern hipster, make it a night - have a drink at the bar and move to the restaurant...scenary is ample and the food memorable.

and was very happy with the quality of food. If you want high quality ingredients with great presentation, this hotel restaurant is really good. I also really liked the extensive spirits and wine list and the restaurant ambience was really cool. I do remember that the server was very professional and nice. Could be a nice date night destination if you want to be downtown.
