13 Coins is supposed to be a Seattle institution. Frankly, that's really sad. Granted, the cummerbund and bow tie wearing wait staff look kitschy and the 6 foot tall leather booths make you feel like you're eating with Joe Pesci in Goodfellas. However, the service also reminds me of violent, paranoid hit men and the food is less than great. Finally, be sure to skip rent before paying the bill because 13 Coins has the most expensive, mediocre food around. Plus, you get to share your personal space with drunk high school students. Joy.

13 Coins by the airport is not a bad place to go late at night before or after a flight if you are dining at the seatac location. There is also another location in Seattle by Denny Way. It is open twenty four hours and has very accommodating service. I think the restaurant needs to be redone though because the carpet is threadbare and many of the seats are starting to look worn. Overall though this is a cozy place to enjoy a sit down meal. The food served here is American style food-heavy on the steaks. A meal for one will cost around 15 to 30 dollars. While the food tastes okay it is not worth going out of your way for but fills a need for twenty four joints in a city almost devoid of late night dining options.

Often you leave a party/club/movie/etc and realize, oh man, I'm starved. It's 2 am. Where do you go but the 24-hour McDonald's drive-threw? For something special I'd try Thirteen Coins. The prices are high, the lighting way too low, and the staff sometimes irritable-- but hey, it's 2 am! My expectations are not that high at that time of night, especially after coming out of a party. The food is very nice, however! The menu is so diverse that whatever you're craving at that hour can pretty much be taken care of and the kitchen doesn't seem to notice the hour you're ordering it-- great quality! Next time your night seems to be ending at a McDonalds, turn around and head to 13 Coins.

If you have lived in Seattle you will notice that most restaurants close REALLY early! There are a select few that are open 24 hours. I would highly recommend Thirteen Coins for one of those nights where a craving must be relinquished. The atmosphere isn't all that romantic. It kind of reminds you of a scene in a truck stop movie like Roadhouse. However the food is amazing and is well worth it for those late nights.

If you like fine dining that is available 24 hours a day, try out 13 coins. Their food is delicious and their portions are huge. But of course with big portions and good food, there also comes a big price. It is a little on the pricy side, but I think that you get what you pay for. Their food is always fresh and you get outstanding service. Its a wonderful place to go on a date or anniversary, but maybe not really somewhere to bring the kids to. Their menu isn't really kid-friendly and your bill can add up to a lot. Just check it out, try the food, and relax in their atmosphere, at any time since they are open 24 hours a day.

13 coins is open 24 hours a day and is probably the nicer of the choices you have when selecting a dining spot at 2am on a Tuesday morning. I like 13 coins for the purposes of people watching. You get some odd folks rolling into this place! The food is better than youd think and the waitstaff is always very attentive. The decor is REALLY outdated but hey thats what makes the 13 coins what it is. A late night dive.
