Deluxe is definitely one of my favorite casual places to visit. The atmosphere is always great and the service has never been a problem. It's great to meet friends for a quick bite before a concert or show, or even just to chit chat and catch up. I probably wouldn't take more than a group of 5 or 6 though, as space, especially on a busy night, can be tough. I'm usually a beer drinker, but I've become a fan of their Pomegranate Drops after it was introduced to me by a friend there. Check it out!

Here ye, here ye: Deluxe Bar & Grill is located in a handy spot on the north end of Broadway and is a super lunch destination - particularly on Wednesdays. Burger Wednesdays give you a chance to try any of their burgers for $4.95. Or, if you're awesome, you can just try the same burger over and over again...still for only $4.95. The service is fast, friendly and efficient; especially provided I'm generally with a large cartel of coworkers. Their signs advertise good bargains for happy hour and late night dinning, although I've yet to try either. Something about the lighting and atmosphere seems palatial and pleasant and I've had nothing but positive experiences the whole way through. Yay and Yum from Sarah.

I'm still a Deluxe fan, but I think their menu has gone down hill. First the good: it's still a great atmosphere, and it still has great burgers. It's still my favorite burger spot on Capitol Hill. The non-burger menu, however, seems to be going downhill. The last two times I went there, me and my companion ordered non-burger food, and every item was essentially the same: a fancy peice of meat smothered in an unimpressive sauce. I've always loved the menu at the Deluxe, but in future I'll probably look at it as just a burger and beer place. Has anyone else experienced this?

I really don't like bars, but Deluxe has actually made it into my good graces. The music and general noise isn't too loud, so you can still carry on a decent conversation. It's not scary quiet though, so you have to whisper. The waitstaff is very nice and the drinks are well-priced. Also, the crowd's not too intimidating.

Great casual spot to meet friends for dinner/lunch! They have pretty standard fare consisting of sandwiches, burgers, etc. They have awsome baked potatoes which you can order in place of fries. The Deluxe is far from fancy but it offers good food, nice waitstaff, and is always busy - but not so busy that its a headache getting in. The Harvart Exit is right behid them so its a great set-up for dinner and a movie! Due to the deluxes late night hours you can make that a late dinner or just dessert and coffee. I used to live a few blocks from here and we were became regulars.
