I tried one of their seasonal ales and it was excellent. I had their black bean burger that sadly didn't come with fries, the burger itself was great but very awkward to eat since it is served on pita bread. I highly recommend their goat cheese salad, very tasty and the cheese was heated and breaded perfectly.
Pros: Great food and great beer
Cons: no liquor selection and no fries
(I was in the mood for Baileys and Hot Chocolate and burger and fries when I entered the door, was sad when I realized they didn't have most of what I wanted, nonetheless I left very happy with my experience there)

This place has a great selection of beers and a good variety of food. Everything I've had here has been fresh and good. Has a good cozy yet stylish atmosphere.

Love the local place but the manager or the man that has been there for years is a #@$#@. Lat night he cam out of the bar and yelled at the three of us about F-y about the tip? How can the owners of this pub have him there and it is not the first time. Get ride of that problem and the bar is nice.
Pros: pub and good beer
Cons: manager

The one problem I always have here is service. I know it's busy, the staff while shoot nasty looks at anyone who walks in the door on those nights!
That said, the food is consistently great and the chef designs creative and tasty soups, which I have even been known to order on a hot summer day because they're so tempting. Great specials sheet (although they run out quite often), and good brews. Annoying when customers sit at a table for hours on a busy night though.
Pros: The food
Cons: Completely inconsistent service

I have not ever had a bad meal here and the service, while not always perfect is pretty damn good. Service is much better if you sit at the bar, in my experience. I wish some of the specials were on the menu as full time menu items.
Menu items are a BIT more expensive than some pubs but worth it!

If you're looking for good brews in a casual atmosphere and the best bar food around this is the place. Everything on the menu that I've tried is excellent, but my favorites are the warm goat cheese salad and the gumbo. The only issue I have the wth Ale House is the noise. The place is always packed and the noise level is high... you'll have to talk loudly to carry on conversation with someone right next to you.
Pros: Food and brews.
Cons: Noise

When I used to work in Greenwood I would go to the 74th Street Alehouse all the time for a quick lunch! I've never seen it crowded for lunch around 12-3:00.(My lunch hour times varied) But, I do remember the great selection of beers and even Blackthorne Cider. It's a great place to try some really great food and have a beer, if you can, before heading back to the grindstone! The menu can be a little spendy, but the food really is pretty darn good. I thought I'd hate the food since they didn't have anything fried, but I was wrong! The 74th Street Alehouse is a great place to go for lunch!

Recently tried this little place for the first time after waling by it for over two years. The staff is great and you can't beat the friendly patrons. The food was great but you definitely have to beware of the large portions, you can easily do two people per plate! Check this place out and expect to wait a bit for a table.

Pros: beer selection, location
Cons: food, service, parking
