Calypso has been gone for a couple years, replaced by "Divine", a Greek? restaurant. I've been there once for dinner with the parents. It was good - but not memorable enough to make me want to go back again versus any of a dozen other restaurants. I heard a rumor that the owners/chefs of Calypso had set up shop somewhere else but I don't know where, if so. Divine's website is: http://www.divineseattle.com/

This place is a neighborhood favorite and can often be hard to get into.
It's been a little while since I've had dinner here but I have it on my list for "must return" as it is excellent food. We had a pork dish and a Jamaican jerk chicken when we went last time and it was DE-LISH! Fried plantains are frequent sidedishes and I'm a fan of these too. Enjoy!

For great Caribbean food, try Calypso on the corner of 80th & Roosevelt. Their Jerk steak is excellent, very spicy and served with a mango chutney to take the heat off. Their other dishes are also excellent, and their Key Lime pie is one of the best I've ever had. The restaurant is kind of expensive, with dishes ranging from $15-25. Their wine list is half price on Wednesdays and Sundays.
