I went to Anthony's on a very busy Saturday night, but the service was excellent. The seating location was perfect for our big group of 12 people and our waiter always made sure we got refills on our drinks and that everything was going fine. Although the food is pricey, I think the service and quality of taste are worth the big bucks. Anthony's mainly serves seafood and steak, but I ordered a classic casaer salad and corn chowder. The salad was the perfect size and tasty. The chowder was very rich and filling.

Anthony's Pier 66 and The Bell Street Diner share a building, but they are actually two different restaurants with different menus. Anthony's is upstairs and the Bell Street Diner is downstairs (note: if you want to go to Anthony's, the hostess station is upstairs. The one just in the door is only for the Bell Street Diner). This review is on the Bell Street Diner. Don't be fooled by the name, this is definitely not a diner. It has the atmosphere of a casual "nice"-type restaurant, offering booths and tables inside, seasonal dining on the deck outside, and a long bar. The menu ranges from the less expensive fish and chips, hamburgers, etc. to a full, pricier seafood menu. It's great if you want to relax in a "nice" restaurant atmosphere without paying the price. I particularly love the ponzu salmon bowls - very generous portions of smoked salmon, jasmine rice, salad and a terrific sesame dressing (ask for extra on the side, it goes well with everything in the bowl).

The quality of food and service was exceptional.I was very impressed with the Halibut as was my date.Wine selection was adequate but somewhat limited.The speed of service and attention to detail was exceptional.Salads were marvelous but soup was average.The personal service was top knotch anticipating the customers needs even before they occur.Would highly recommend as a place to impress a client when on an hour lunch in downtown Seattle.The befor food drinks were very good and generous.My date and I were treated like VIPS.Needless to say a very good impression was created.Want to spend a little money to impress a client or date? If so check out this establishment.I highly recommend it. The waiting period was only five minutes.A reservation would be a good idea to insure that special intimate table you have pre selected.

We live a few blocks from Anthony's Pier 66 & Bell Street Diner and have gone several times. We always eat at the "Diner" (even though it is fancier than what I would call a diner), and have had a great experience every time. We mostly go when we have guests in town because it is a great place to view the beautiful Seattle waterfront while you dine without spending a fortune. If you go during sunset - it is gorgeous. We have a 1 year old daughter and the staff is always very accommodating with her and I do not feel that it is too nice of a place to bring her. They do have high chairs available, but there are limited tables they can put them due to the restaurant layout. If you need a high chair, I would try to call ahead to make a reservation to shorten your wait. We have always had very good service and I would say the food is good, not great, but good. If you have out of town guests, it is also nice because the diner menu has a variety of pricing options (a burger for around $8.50 and fresh seafood dishes for near $30.00). So if you are not sure how much your guests want to spend on dinner, Anthony's Diner is a great choice. On one occasion, it was extremely busy and we had several problems. But the management and server handled all of the problems very well and even took several items off of our bill for the inconvenience. Because of the great way they handled the problems, I never hesitate going back. Give Anthony's Bell Street Diner a try and feel free to bring the little one.
