My grandpa always comes to town and requests a family meal at Burgermaster. While I can't say the food is very healthy (although, they do have a salad bar), I can't resist my grandpa. My favorite foods are the grilled cheese and the Tom and Jerry (eggnog) milkshakes. My grandpa likes the Rhubarb pie. It's a good alternative to McDonald's.

Burgermaster has very tasty grilled cheese sandwiches and decent, fresh burgers. The problem with Burgermaster is that they try to master too much. Everything is available here and not all of it is good. I would skip the spaghetti for instance. Breakfast is also served and is quite tasty. The fresh ingredients in the pancakes really make breakfast worth the wait. Shakes here are very thick and almost as good as Dick's. Burger and a shake for dinner is less than ten dollars and customer service is always very courteous and friendly.

Burgermaster is conveniently located near U Village and actually has pretty good food and a very low price.
If you don't like burgermaster, you can always try the IHOP for cheap eats....
or go to the U district -- you're most likely to find cheap eats where the students are...and unfortunately, no great cheap place comes rushing to mind.

I've never had a burger here, but was in the U-village area one morning and decided to try their breakfast. Eggs and sausage - while not overwhelmingly spectacular, overall, it was pretty tasty and very reasonably priced. The interior definitely has a 70's diner kind of feel. LOTS of families with little kids, so if you're looking for a quiet breakfast, this is probably not the right place. I wouldn't go out of my way to do it, but i wouldn't object to eating breakfast there again. Maybe i'll try a burger next time!

Like I was hinting...Burgermaster is the place to get a bite to eat, and dine in your car! The food itself isn't really great, but what do you expect for a burger place? Their onion rings are pretty good, and their shakes are amazing! I like to go here with a bunch of friends so we can all just hang out. Definately worth checking out!
