A group of us were in desparate need for Tex Mex and heavy carbos after a somewhat frustrating board meeting. We wandered from the office we had the meeting in to the restaurant (through a drizzly Seattle downhill walk). We then gorged on chips and guac followed by nice big plates of random Tex Mex. Gobble gobble - carbo need satisfied - and desire for a nap initiated. There was nothing "special" about the food or experience - it was exactly what we were hoping for.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I could find within a 1 mile radius. The food is pretty good, though not spectacular. The location is down a set of steps from 1st Ave, right next to the freeway. The decor is a gaudy but festive combination of primary colors set in a cavernous high-ceilinged room that seems somewhat un-Mexican. The chicken enchilada was good and the beef taco was okay (hard shell with minced meat). They have Dos Equis on tap.
