Six years after Dan helped me find and purchase a great condo, he assisted in the sale of that same place. He had some great and inexpensive ideas on how to fix it up and stage it while I still resided there with the result being multiple offers and a higher price than we had asked for! All that during the start of the Seattle condo slump in Summer '07. He also helped us buy our house a few months later (we made four offers in five months before finally obtaining a home!). Three successful transactions with Lake and Dan Goforth. I highly recommend them both!

Five and a half years ago, I met Dan Goforth at a Greenlake open house he was hosting. Though I did not purchase that home, we hit it off well and I did become a client of his! Several months later after much searching, we found what I had been looking for. As a first time buyer with financial restraints and high expectations, he had his work cut out for him but we got a great deal on a lovely, large condo overlooking a greenbelt. And when my closing date was delayed and friends could not help me move, Dan showed up with another guy to help me load and unload the truck - what service! Lake and Co. has given honesty, integrity and superior personal service not only to me but to others I have referred to them. Thank you, Lake and thank you, Dan!

Abouts Eva Brandenburg, I completely disagree. She brought to my agent an offer to buy my house. Then she and her clients tried to get the neighbor into a lawsuit about the boundary of the property, so they could profit. They asked the neighbor for forty thousand dollars to go ahead with the sale of the property, and he would not pay. Then they asked me. Then they refused to buy the property in the end because they could not get the forty thousand dollars. I was very disappointed and it caused me a lot of stress. I think this agent was not so honorable in her choice to do this work.

I have bought three houses now with Eva. She is warm, friendly, incredibly professional, and an amazing negotiator. She has a well-honed sense of what both buyers and sellers want, and always represents me and my needs better than I could myself. In one case she got my offer accepted by delivering it personally rather than faxing it over (as so many agents do). She also has a stable of contacts (for mortgages, renovations, etc.) who share her ethics and attitude towards client service. She is a gem--I'll never use anyone else! (Plus, she gives an incredible party every holiday season, and she knows some great folks!)

Lake & Company offer excellent, professional service. The agent at Lake who helped us buy our first home in March 2005 was Shannon Campbell. As first time buyers, we appreciated the time she spent educating us about the buying process, the housing market and Seattle neighborhoods. She quickly figured out what we wanted, and saved us a lot of time looking around properties, Her advice allowed us to get a great house in a competitive multiple bid situation (15 offers) even though other offers were higher. I would highly recommend Lake & Company, and in particular Shannon Campbell.

We worked with Sherm Fluharty at Lake Realty and can't say enough good things. He has a great personable style, the patience of a saint, and is an A+ professional. He not only dedicated several weekends in a row to us (no joke, whole weekends of looking) but found us a great house in our budget in an area we really liked. He was honest and open about the pros and cons of each house we saw and represented us well in the negotiation process (he saved us money by helping us avoid a bidding war). We have since recommended him to a half dozen friends who have all had positive experiences in Seattle and on the East Side. Give Sherm a call if you are looking to buy or sell- he is a real pro.
