John is a knowledgeable, reliable and trustworthy agent. My home sale was a difficult process for me and my family, both emotionally and financially and John was incredibly supportive, patient, and smart every step of the way. I was sold on hiring John when he showed up at our first meeting having done a great deal of homework on the area, and already had some ideas for us to think about and a customized booklet to take away. He always came prepared to meetings, always had suggestions and ideas for things we could do to sell the house more quickly in a down market, and he was always right! He hired a great photographer using new techniques so the pictures look amazing on the web. He hired a sketch artist to draw a rendering of what the backyard could look like if we were to clear out the greenbelt and landscape it since buyers were struggling with the fact that it was not landscaped, but we didn’t have the time to do it. He posted our listing on tons of sites, sent out direct mailings, contacted other agents, set up numerous open houses, let people know when we lowered our price, sent out surveys and took that information to heart. Basically John worked much harder than I have ever seen an agent work – he earned his commission (less than most agents negotiate) and then some. I trusted John to always have my best interests at heart. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a smart, hard-working and caring agent. Plus he has a great sense of humor and is just a lot of fun to be around!

In any relationship, the key element is communication and trust, and John embodies both of these in his business transactions. From the sale of our first home in Ballard, to the purchase of our new home in Green Lake, we felt that John was working in our best interest as buyer and seller. He also was extremely prompt with communication, including driving miles to find cell phone reception in the woods of Michigan to check in. His data and analysis was balanced with common sense and the willingness to explain anything - we felt that he was realistic with the market conditions. We initially selected John as our selling agent because we were looking for a knowledgeable professional experienced in the Seattle real estate market. Throughout the entire process of preparing the house for sale, as well as the showing of it, we were impressed with his enthusiasm and seemingly limitless energy. He kept us informed every step of the way, offered suggestions at the right times, and was uniformly upbeat. His guidance clearly worked as he presented us with several competitive offers after only a week and a half of showing. We have since recommended him to many friends and associates, and will continue to do so. We have bought and sold several homes over the years, but have never had an agent we enjoyed working with as much!

I just sold my condo, my residence of three years, my HOME that I loved. It was not an easy decision. John started the process with education: not just a complete analysis of comps but also a well constructed packet of information about the whole process - terms, definitions, expectations, market trends etc. After making the decision to sell, then changing my mind, then deciding again to sell (a two week period of time during which John showed remarkable patience and understanding) he put together a complete marketing package; utilizing unique, cost effective methods to get the word out. Long story short: Only one weekend. Right Price, Right Time, Right Buyer. Thanks to the Right Realtor. I didn't choose to go with John solely because of his flexible commission schedule, but it sure made the decision seem like a smart one when I was closing escrow. My wife and I thought we could outsmart the market and not get a buyer's agent. When we realized our folly and contacted John's office, he responded immediately. Although we ended up not getting the first townhouse we put an offer on, through John's help and his associates, we managed to get an offer turned around 24 hours from the moment we first discovered the house, days before it was scheduled for an open house. The offer was accepted and we have now own a beautiful townhouse in Ballard. What's more, the townhouse was a better fit than what we had found with our failed attempt.
