Despite its sleek decor and hip staff this Tutta Bella has lost its soul. After several recent visits I have found that it reminds me of the snack stand at Disneyland?s Tomorrow Land packed with zillions of toddlers and their exhausted parents, oblivious of the ?out for an evening? non parents to reign in their screaming kids while waiting for sub-standard cold pizza. I was there recently and the table ordered three pizzas which were served less than luke warm with uncooked dough. The toppings were skimpy and flavorless as though freeze dried and reconstituted. This atmosphere is like a daycare. The noise level was intolerable. The service however was very good and our server was prompt and attentive which was a good thing because we could not wait to leave! We?ve tried to hang in there but have decided to secede to the little people.
Pros: Prompt Service
Cons: Unpleasant atmoshphere, dull food

I have absolutely no idea what the other reviews are about. TUTTA BELLA ROCKS!! The salads are plentiful and wonderfully flavorful. The espresso is out of this world good...literally just like I had when in Italy. The gelato (my favorite the Nutella flavor) is simply amazing.
And the pizza? There is a reason they have that Authentic Neapolitan thing associated with their name. No pizza is going to taste precisely like it's from Italy. It just doesn't and won't. But, by far, this is the BEST pizza and CLOSEST to the real thing in town.
It's thin crust, not deep dish, (in my opinon that's like eating butter cake...gross) and it's consistency and taste is right on.
I am speaking as an Italian-American with an actual Italian native as a fiance. I was GIDDY when I found Tutta Bella because at least he will have a place here with food like home. He'll be here in one week and we'll visit Tutta Bella. I'll ask him to write a review, too. Because all the others are dead wrong.
If you want Pizza Hut, stay home and order your butter cake!
Pros: Pizza. Nutella Gelato. AMAZING Espresso.
Cons: Location. Parking lot has small spaces.

This pizza was horrible. We tried two pizzas, and the crust had no flavor, and was soggy. The sauce was like they just used pureed tomatoes and added no extra flavoring. The toppings were exactly like the menu said. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I've had pizza in New York, and pizza in Italy...and this is wayyyy off the mark.

Everyone knows already about the pizza. Sure the pizza is tremendous, but the espresso is equally amazing! I reccomend the iced freddo. They usually have a good barista on hand, but I've only had one espresso drink that was only 'okay'.
There are about four other places in Columbia City that serve espresso drinks, but Tutta Bella serves the best by far. It maybe the best coffee in South Seattle. I say 'maybe' because Galaxie on Beacon Hill also serves a fine cup Cafe Victrola and Remo's has pretty darn good drip coffee.

I have been a pizza afficianado and amateur pizza maker for 20 years. I know my pizza. This is horrible pizza. The soul of a pizza is the crust. A good pizza maker craves the high heat of a coal or wood stove to get that bubbly crust, hint of smoke, outside a yeasty moist crumb. Tutta Bella seemed to have the right oven, but it did not have a good dough or a pizza maker who knows the first thing about making a pizza. The pie arrived with an inspid and limp dough. There was no crust. I picking up a slice and it drooped like a limp noodle. It was dramatically undercooked. LIkewise, the top was not adequatley cooked. That's what happens when you dont knead your dough well, have long rises, or let your dough sit on a preheated oven. The pizza maker had the pie on a paddle with the top facing the flame. NO, NO, NO. A terribel shame. A waste of an good oven.

This place gets more than an okay with me. First the pizza is good. Second, the salad is great. Third the Gelato is supreme. But let's focus on that there are not many places for families with kids. Now, I don't have kids, but I have nephews. When you take nephews out without MOM, it can sometimes be a disaster. NOT so at Tutta Bella. If you are lucky to come early and get seated promptly (this is my suggestion), then you are descended upon with Wiki-Stix, these sticky magical bendy things that you can virtually sculpt into anything fun and entertaining. They have root beer on tap. They will, if you ask, bring a little piece of dough to the table for the kids to play with. The sinks in the bathroom aren't impossible to reach for a 4 year old who you are making wash their hands before dinner. The service staff doesn't frown on the children, doesn't act "put-out" when the children ask a bazillion questions. And if something spills, they graciouisly come with rags and smiles (they seem to understand that accidents happen). I highly reccomend this place to any Aunt or Uncle (Mom and Dad of course too) who wants to treat their sibiling to a joyous few hours by taking the kids out to dinner. Thank you Tutta Bella for reminding us that kids are diners too.
Pros: Kid Friendly, good food, parking, salad, gelato
Cons: can't think of any

This joint gets my ok.......the food is really satisfying.....if you want to go pizza-light try the salad w. fresh mozzarella served cold on the bare-wood-oven-fired crust.....a variation on the 'bread & salad' entree. Heads-up:It's VERY noisy and there's usually a wait on weekends..... don't get the pizza to-go...the crust gets soggy and loses that great crunch & hot-out-of -the- wood -oven flavor which is what you're paying for here. A fine CIAO down here.

The pizza is exactly what I remember from my youth - the real deal. Add to that the only tiramisu that tastes just like the homemade original, a great open restaurant design, really friendly and upbeat staff and - I swear I don't know how they do it - an atmosphere just like back in Italy: busy, very friendly, with people enjoying life. Thank you. Thank you very, very much.
The only restaurant in the states that I've ever known to just have fresh samples for waiting customers. If there was a Nobel Prize for food, they'd richly deserve it.

This is a great place - the ambience is welcoming but well designed, the food is tasty and the prices are good. We ordered the house salad, which was surprisingly good and the Campania and Quattro Stagioni pizzas. The pizzas here are thin crust and not too cheesy, which is the I like them personally. The chicken apple sausage in the Campania was excellent. A good place to meet up with a group of friends or to have an impromptu dinner. Probably not where you'd take a date if you're still trying to impress them though :)
