Just Buy Local 9/26/2005

The number one attribute of A New York Pizza Place (besides the pizza, of course) is ambiance. This is a great place to take the kids after soccer practice or drop in with a friend to grab a pint and a slice of pizza after work. This is a very family-oriented restaurant with a pleasant staff. If you're thinking about Pagliacci or Papa John's, you'll want to try out A New York Pizza Place as it is right on par with them. more

Great Neighborhood Joint 9/15/2005

I love this place. The pizza is good and they always have pizza by the slice (whatever you want!). The house salad is really good, get the house dressing! If you're not in the mood for pizza, they've got pasta and sandwiches, too. I think this is a great place for a casual date or to bring your family. Service is always friendly and the place has a great neighborhood feel to it. Recommended! more

New York Pizza Done Right-- Yum 8/10/2005

I used to live across the street from A New York Pizza Place and I loved it. The owners and employees are so friendly. They serve pizza by the slice, salads and even sandwiches if I recall. This may it easy to eat there at least once a week. Their pizza is the best part. They use great Italian sausage. It isn't spicy, but it isn't the usual cheap stuff you get at other places. The dough isn't oily, it is thin, crisp and has good flavor. You can even order a pizza with whole wheat dough. I personally never tried it, but I thought it was a nice option. They also have free red rope at the counter. more

Good New York Style Pizza In Seattle 3/16/2005

New York Pizza Place on 5th in the Maple Leaf neighborhood is decent...I think its better than just about everything else in Seattle but that's really not saying a whole lot, in my opinion. Sadly, you won't find true NY-style pizza here although its still quite fun making the rounds in a valiant attempt! more
