I have been in the healing arts for nearly 29 years. I used to shop almost exclusively at Zenith Supply for my massage supplies, but now use Waking Life. Why the switch? Excellent Customer service, earth friendly supplies, organic lotions/oils/creams. Most of the well know massage brands contain some of the same preservatives as gasoline, which can cause dermatological conditions and problems. Waking Life provides healthier products that erase these well-known brands from the map. My favorite is the Sweet Pea line of Balms and creams. Made locally and freshly they are amazing! Thank you R & K, you have a happy and deliriously satisfied client for life.
Pros: Excellent customer service, awesome website, great products
Cons: none

More 1 year ago
I started going to Sang at Esthetics International because I saw the place while driving home every day on Roosevelt Ave. She is AMAZING. I had adult acne and that is virtually gone. Sang Lee, the owner, uses a unique combination of high tech machines, top products, her Korean training in acupressure and a form of energy work to do her facials. It's difficult moving to a new place because you have to find your new "people" (hair, facials, dentist, etc), but in 2005 when I moved here, I lucked out by finding Sang quickly. I've had eye lash/eye brow tinting, facials, body work, and waxing here. She also sells great products and make up. I am at her place at least monthly!
Pros: Very personal - she always knows you, parking right in front, warm ambience

I have extreme spinal arthritis and had lost my ability to walk without assistance before I started working out at Curves. I got my walking ability back and started to lose weight! So far I'm down 100 pounds since I started 4 years ago, and I'm planning to lose another 100 as soon as I can (you know, real life keeps happening).
Pros: friendly, long hours, big room

Great Place to keep your hair up to date. Located right on the Burke Gilman Trail in Fremont in a 100 year old former railroad depot, Jenny and Brandon have done a great job of converting the old depot into a hair salon while preserving the old character of the building. Jenny cuts my hair as well as my wife and daughters and we all think she is fantastic.

Before this, I had only had a few manicures and pedicures. I wanted to start going more but couldn't afford $70-$80 per visit. I chose Burien Nail & Spa based on the first review. I totally agree. They aren't fancy but offer a great service for the price. I paid $35 (including tip) for a manicure AND pedicure and both were beautiful! They use OPI nail polish and the massaging chairs are very relaxing. I was in and out in 45 minutes and could go on with my day. I'm planning another visit this week and am going to try french tips (extra $5).
