I've been going to Suede for over 5 years, I found it when my favorite hair stylist (Agnes ;) joined the team. All of the stylist are very talented, fun, and friendly! The salon is very clean, modern, and just has a great vibe. I recommend this salon to everyone!

One would think the interior design of Suede would reflect the name of the salon -- calm, relaxed, soothing. Nope. Not even close. Major disconnect. The color palette and light fixtures are more reminiscent of Bazooka Bubble Gum. Chairs are ripped, cheap flooring is coming apart at the seams, and the lighting is really awful.

I have been going to Tracy for 8 months or so now, and she has been the best hair person I have ever had. She is very talented at cutting as well as color. She has a way of cutting hair that is extremely flattering. She's also super cool and nice. I highly recommend her! There is a nice relaxed atmosphere in the Salon as well.

I went there when I needed a haircut on short notice and they were able to fit me in. My haircut is fine, but the layout of the salon is a little chaotic and not all that comfortable. Plus, I thought it a bit expensive in comparison to other salons in the area. Would go back in a pinch, but it's not my favorite.

This nicely-sized salon is located in the heart of the Roosevelt neighborhood, right in Roosevelt Square (where the Starbucks and Whole Foods are) across from the East West Bookshop. I walked in on an impulse yesterday, when my appointment with Derby (see my poor review of that salon) fell apart. The stylist, Jill, was at the front desk when I walked in and she was able to fit me in within thehour, so I had time to get some coffee. When I got back she wasn't quite ready for me, but there's a comfortable waiting area with lots of magazines. When she was ready, she consulted with me about what I wanted, really listened to what I was looking for, and made some great suggestions. I would DEFINITELY return to see her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a good haircut in Seattle.
