The male Brazilian
I went to The Sweet Spot as a kind of a new adventure. I had no particular reason to do it, but I ran across this place somewhere on the web, thoroughly researched it, and decided to go for it.
I got a next day appointment (maybe because I could go any time).
OK. About the man thing: I agonized about what effect there would be from a woman working on my dangly bits and there were some effects. Apparently, this is just not an issue, one way or the other. So I was able to relax and enjoy, sort of. It is necessarily painful to some extent to have hair removed, so once that process started arousal was not longer an issue.
My experience with the pain was like this: Once the the sugar ball was rubbed into the hair and skin, Deanne had me take a big breath and then exhale sharply. As I was blowing out, she would quickly pull the sugar off of me. The first fraction of a second felt like someone tugging at my hair. This was quickly followed by a intense burning sensation, lasting maybe 5 - 10 seconds. After that subsided, there was a low level soreness that went away it a minute or two. The pain is intense and shocking, but it is very brief. Maybe that is good for developing mental discipline.
Before arriving I wondered how I would be treated. Would there be funny looks, or whispering, or would the other clients move across the waiting room? None of that happened. I was treated respectfully by both staff and other clients. My fears were unfounded.
I now know why women like a day at the hairdressers, or a massage or things like that. I was wonderful to be pampered by someone whose attention was entirely on me for a few minutes.
Pros: Friendly, competent service
Cons: A little pain.

i thought i'd tried it all - waxing (ow plus ingrown owies later on), laser removal (holy mother of god OW ow make it stop ow), even the at-home stuff (ow plus sticky and messy and not really that effective). but my friend introduced me to and recommended 'sugaring' for hair removal, so i gave it a shot at The Sweet Spot in Fremont.
i'm beyond impressed. first of all, it barely hurt and it was a quick process. second, the red bumps lasted for about 1/2 hour then they were gone. third, my skin is smoooooooooothe smoothe smoothe. what else...the cost! very reasonable. totally sanitary since they use the same piece of sugar for the entire treatment on you, then they discard it. street parking within 1/2 block. nice people. cute doggies. tea, water and a nice staff.
no drawbacks, no negatives, no issues. i'll give it 4 stars because my new personal rule is that i won't give 5 starts until i visit a place more than once.

Since bikini waxing hurts i would recommend doing sugaring. You should go to Sweet Spot Sugaring in Freemont. Here is their website link: http://www.sweetspotonline.net/home/

Bikini waxes. Never really a truly enjoyable experience, but for some of us, it's something that must be done.
In honor of my upcoming trip to Mexico, I made the trek to The Sweet Spot for an extended bikini wax, which is not quite as extreme as a Brazilian but good enough for a bathing suit.
The Sweet Spot doesn't use the typical wax and rip technique that I've become accustomed to. They are actually the first professional body sugaring service in Seattle. "Sugaring" involves the use of a very pliable warm substance that is massaged into the skin and then quickly pulled off. Although a little painful, it's not nearly as tear-inducing as some of the other waxes I've had. The results? No bumps, slight redness that went away within 8-10 hours and hair that took much longer to grow back.
Well worth the time and money!

Sugar is what the women in the middle east do for hair removal.... and they know what they are doing. This stuff is so much better then the hot wax I am used to. they get shorter hairs, the sugar is never contaminated (just think about it... the waxer goes from bikini to eyebrow using the same pot of wax and most of the time they double dip.) and it does not hurt nearly as much as waxing. What can I say give it a try.
