If you'd like your trailer hitch lights blown, your dashboardfuses blown, and the manager to insult you, this is the location for you!
My husband and I tried to rent a trailer from them this past weekend (5/20/06)--the kid they sent out to hook us up was nice, but had never hooked up a trailer before!
Unfortunately, his inexperience caused him to hook things up incorrectly, not only blowing out one of the wires in our trailer hitch hook up, but blowing the fuse to our dashboard panel as well. When we tried to talk to the location manager about the problems (they of course wouldn't let us rent at this point, since we "came in without working lights"), she disavowed all responsibility, and insulted us.
So, we went to Costco and bought a $659 trailer instead, thereby guaranteeing we will never rent from U-Haul again.
Surly attitude, untrained employees and overall antagonistic staff.

More
We purchased two expensive leather study chairs and a large (and very expensive) china cabinet from them in January 2000.
After delivery was completed and we were putting the shelves in, we realized that the holes for the shelves were misdrilled on one side.
We contacted them and their first response was to offer to drill additional new holes! We told them no, we wanted it replaced.
It took 5 months for a replacement to come through with a lot of tense phone calls. By the end I was threatening to sue (and these were expensive enough that small claims isn't an option).
They brought the replacement and all was done.
Or so I thought: six months later the doors on the bottom expanded and warped to where you can't open or close them.
I was so fed up with them I never called. They are like this still today.
For the top dollar I paid: that was the sleaziest, worst service I've gotten in my life. I wouldn't use them if they were the only furniture store on the planet.
Addendum: As if this experience years ago weren't bad enough, I was just two weeks ago telemarketed by Continental Furniture to come to a furniture auction. Unwanted telemarketing calls are bad enough. But one would expect that given the clearly negative experience they would have the common sense to not put me on their calling list. It appears they lack that common sense or respect for the customer.
It was a 3rd party firm so I asked them to have a manager at Continental call me. They haven't bothered. So, I'm going ahead and noting this additional, unacceptable experience in the hopes that others learn from my mistake and avoid this company like the plague.

You would be hard-pressed to find anyone more in-the-know than Klaudia Keller, founder of Choice Linens & Chair Covers. She is a professional event planner who knows caterers, florists, ice carvers, limo drivers, jazz trios and rental companies. Without a beat she could rattle off every outdoor event venue in the Puget Sound. She has seen them all and it is very likely she has splashed her amazing linens on their tables, transforming otherwise blah events into parties with pizazz!
In addtion to her role as your event planner (a guide to shepard you through the chaos of wedding planning), Keller is ultimately about great table cloths. Choice's line of extrordinary linens is beyond compare in Seattle. Damasks, Brocades, Sheers and Cottons. And then there are all the table toppers-votives and napkin rings and tassels and....Her showroom-gallery-laboratory-workshop is a place to behold.
She knows caterers too. I would give her a call.

More
American Music Rentals Production Service is a great option for sound system rentals in the Seattle area. They have a nice selection of packages that include microphones, speakers, amps, mixers; everything needed for most events, including weddings, parties, conferences, and concerts. They also have technicians (sound guys) for hire that can help setup and run the equipment. Delivery is also available. Prices may seem high but they are reasonable and competitive with the other options in town (not many worth mentioning).

I've used American Music to rent speakers and a sound system before. They're very knowledgeable about what type of system to rent and the prices are pretty decent.

I've been planning a fundraiser for a non-profit on whose board I volunteer and Abbey Party Rents has been helping us out. Working with me was Emily at the North Seattle location and she was very helpful. She walked me through all the things we were going to need and let me know about the non-profit discount that they offer.
Many of the items you'll need will be available and there is a great drop off and pick up service that can help you save time.
