I'm in a creative profession and have always been the creative type...but for some reason could not translate that into my wardrobe style. I knew that while I could understand design in multiple mediums, clothing was not one of them. Darcy helped me translate my taste in art and interiors into a style that could be expressed with clothes - a huge leap for me. By defining this style and showing me examples (and working with existing pieces), I feel much better about the shopping experience now - something I used to hate. I realize now that without this clarity, you're set loose in a sea of merchandising all vying for you attention and it's easy to get overwhelmed and end up with something that is not 'you'. So thanks Darcy, for being part therapist, philosopher, diva, fashionista and intelligent business woman who was able to put it all together for me. Problem solved.

When you live in the outdoor-oriented and rainy northwest, it's easy to become addicted to fleece! However I recognized the need to break out of a staid wardrobe and contemporize components without requiring an entire re-build. For years I had known that my wardrobe was not what I wanted it to be however I had no idea of how to change. I hated shopping because I never knew what to buy and most of the time I returned at least 75% of the things that I purchased. Darcey to the rescue. In just a few hours she helped organize my current clothes, helped me let go of those that I shouldn't have (yes, I hung on to the 80's just a little too long), and put together many outfits I had never even thought of that were already hanging in my closet. The style guide that she provided me with is a wonderful resource that I can use when shopping or for inspiration when getting dressed in the morning. It is hard to explain how much this simple process has increased my confidence. Darcey came to my house and went through my entire wardrobe in 3 hours. I was impressed by her expertise in clothing fabrics, colors, and styles. She did not come in the door expecting to through out half my wardrobe. She identified hip new combinations for me to wear and also some staple pieces that I can wear on a regular basis. The style guide that came afterwards was very impressive as well. It is thorough and covered everything we discussed. I keep it with my clothes AND I take it shopping with me still (2 months later!) to make sure I am purchasing the right clothes. I would highly recommend her to anyone. And I may have her come back again for summer outfits!

I'm from those bubble years between boomers and x-ers. I never knew which look was right for me ("Am I trying to look too old? Am I trying to look too young?") So I've always taken the conservative route and just tried to dress "classically". Bad idea. Then I met Darcey and got Lifestyled. Darcey saw my potential and knew exactly what to do to get me out of the doldrums and into styles that were so much more "me" than anything I'd ever worn! She even brought me to a new hair stylist, and between the new looks and the new do, I feel like a million bucks. And I've had more compliments in the last few months than I have in years. And seriously, the best part is that I feel so much more comfortable and confident than ever before. As a young female attorney I had no idea how to dress on a day to day basis. Some days I was mistaken for the firm receptionist! I began consulting with Darcey who taught me to dress for "the job I want, not the job I have." Darcey taught me about branding myself, about how to wear clothing that demonstrated I was a capable, confident and successful attorney. Most importantly she helped me determine which pieces were missing from my wardrobe (among other things, suit jackets) and where to find them at a low cost. Soon after working with Darcey I was rewarded with a major career opportunity and I have never looked back. Now, before I speak at a seminar or market myself in other ways, I call Darcey. I recently became aware that I wasn't feeling so powerful in my "power suits" and that my pumps were falling flat. I needed help. Fearful of the extreme makeover mentality of some image consultants I was doubtful. But then I met Darcey. What a breath of fresh air! She clearly embraces life and style. She realizes that it is about the person in the clothes not the clothes on the person. I signed up for her "Wardrobe Rescue" and couldn't have been more pleased with the results. First, she helped me get rid of the old to make room for the new. This she did with humor and grace. She understood that each piece had a "story". Then, she helped me to create at least 7 new outfits with clothes I already had in the closet. Then, we created a list of things that I could collect that would enhance MY style. She made it FUN to get dressed again.....Thank you Darcey!
