If you need any work done on your hand or wrist...this IS the place. I know, I sound like I've had a lot of different medical issues happen to me this year, well...you're right! So, I've been around. I had a cyst removed from my wrist last month, and they've been sooo professional and nice - even though many times my 2 year old was with me at the appointments! I've never had to wait 'cause they're always on time, which is so nice, and they have a great therapy room upstairs as well! Anyway, it's definitely above many others.

As an active person, I originally chose Dr. Pitt because he was covered by my work insurance and I figured most of my medical needs were bound to be sports-related injuries. What I've found now through the years is that he is a conscientious and thorough general practice physician as well who focuses on natural and rehabilitative treatments whenever possible. His analysis of my several injuries has been spot in, even with nuanced diagnoses and treatment plans.
His staff is pleasant and professional. There are two offices you can schedule (one up in Northgate and one in Ballard) for convenience.
I strongly recommend him.

If you blow your ACL, Larry (or his partner Zorn) are the folks to see. There is another great guy at the UW, but Larry for instance does 500 ACL repairs a year.
With orthopedics, believe me, you want to have someone who does one thing well. It is practice makes perfect.
Great best side manner, but the main thing is that it won't tear rupture, etc.
So if you blow one, see Larry!
BTW, does anyone else think it is wierd that physician searches are last name first. The guy's name is Larry Holland, not Holland Larry :-)

Dr. Trumble at the University of Washington is an excellent surgeon. Unfortunately, I now have 3 surgeries under my belt with Dr. Trumble. It is my understanding that he is a very reputable hand surgeon (all 3 of my surgeries), but I believe that he is renowned in other areas. Dr. Trumble is also open to other non-surgical techniques and alternative therapy - he is not simply surgery-happy.
Good luck!

It has been a long time since I have run into a doc (other then my long term PCP) who truly listens and cares about his patients. Dr. Blahous was the first of three docs that saw for ankle pain that beloved that I had a problem worth exploring and eventually fixing. Had surgery 5 weeks ago today and I expect a full recovery with the original pain being completely resolved after rehab. I think that my mouth actually fell open when he came to see me before the surgery and said, "I was reviewing your x-rays and MRI last night and this morning..." Never heard that before! HIGHLY recommended!!
Above all else he is a genuinely nice guy!
Thanks!
