I've been going to this place for years. It's the best for cheap pedicures. I have never thought twice about the cleanliness of their tools. They are fast, good and cheap. Just for fun, sometimes I have them add a hand design to the polish and it's a very small additional fee. Parking is kind of a pain and it is in The Alley, but the place is really good.

Before this, I had only had a few manicures and pedicures. I wanted to start going more but couldn't afford $70-$80 per visit. I chose Burien Nail & Spa based on the first review. I totally agree. They aren't fancy but offer a great service for the price. I paid $35 (including tip) for a manicure AND pedicure and both were beautiful! They use OPI nail polish and the massaging chairs are very relaxing. I was in and out in 45 minutes and could go on with my day. I'm planning another visit this week and am going to try french tips (extra $5).

I was told about Diamond Nails by a friend who learned of it from a friend of hers, and since I started going there, I've referred about 10 girlfriends of my own. The pedicures are cheaper than anywhere else I've seen, and they have all the ingredients of a successful guilty pleasure: massage chairs, gossip magazines, gentle aestheticians, and E! on the overhead TV. Make a reservation if you're planning on going after work; they get busy in the evenings.

I've been going to Fremont Nails since it opened and have always received an excellent pedi and friendly service. It's not fancy, but you're also not paying $50-70 as you would in a 'spa' or upscale salon.

I simply adore Frenchy's. It is minutes from my home and everyone there is polite, fun and creative. The merchandise is a slice of heaven, a little something for everyone.
Julie is the best for manicures. I have had French manicures for years with others and she is the most meticulous and they look very natural.
Most of the pedicure ladies are great, I tend to jump around because they are all really good and take their time with pride and perfection.
Erin or Janetta are excellent ladies for waxing.
I love the atmosphere here, very colorful, very girly, it is like a girls club. You rarely see a man in here, so the vibe is very relaxed.
Viktoria is THE BEST MASSAGE THERAPIST on the planet. I have been having massages for over two decades and no one comes close to her services. She does deep tissue work for your most stressed and tense areas of your body. She only works on Thursdays, but is worth the wait if you can make a Thursday appointment.
The front staff are friendly and always co-ordinated with appointments via phone and in person. Joanne, the manager is the hippest lady on the planet.
Cheers!
Lisa Rothschild~

I go to Paulette at Gene Juarez for the best, quickest and least painful bikini wax in the city. It is an extremely relaxing atmosphere with soothing music and aromas, as well a clinical-looking room that makes you feel like everything is clean and sterile. At 77 dollars a pop, though, it's a hefty chunk of change, but I find that it is worth it.
I have also received the Spa Manicure here a few times and been very impressed with the service. The massage and paraffin treatments left me relaxed and smooth and they now use my favorite polish, Essie.

When we moved to Seattle in 1997 I had to figure out where to have my hair done. A friend told me that Gene Juarez is always a good choice, so I called for an appointment. Well, my first appointment there was scheduled with a stylist who was not able to see me after all that day. Instead, the receptionist had Yent do my hair. And boy am I glad that she did! Ever since then I have been having Yent do my hair. She has seen me through a wedding and the birth of two children and has always been able to make me feel glamorous.

Happy Nails is a little shop owner by a nice, young couple named Peter and Chi and they give great, inexpensive manicures and pedicures. I really like the fact that their shop is totally clean and they have a great selection of both OPI and China Glaze and they use expensive top coats...nary a crusty old bottle of cheap polish in the whole place. And, one time right after getting a French Manicure I got a chip the next day and Chi fixed it for free. So I really appreciate their willingness to make people happy. I bought my husband a $100 gift certificate so he can go in anytime and get a manicure or a pedicure, and he really loves using it (when it's used up, I'll get him another one) because he feels realy pampered and it's a simple thing that men don't typically do for themselves very much. I don't wear Acrylics but the women I have seen in there getting their nails done that way swear by Peter's gift to do them well. There's lots of parking all around, so if you live near the North City part of Shoreline: GO! :) You'll be happy that you did!
I am reviewing the North City Happy Nails, not the one in Greenwood. I tried to fix the address and the Judy's Book site wouldn't let me: so here is the corrent information:

Hoa has consistently good service at an affordable price. I keep going back because they treat me really well and the quality of their work keeps me satisfied. Better than any of the other choices in the area, which are either much more expensive or not as pleasant an experience.
