I so prefer these types of movie theaters over the big chain types. The Guild 45th, like the Egyptian, Metro and Crest are lovely places to see a movie because they aren't packed with people to see a zillion different films. We saw Babel at the Guild on Saturday night and it was great. The seats are surprisingly comfortable (not rock hard like some of the other older theaters), and the staff was very friendly. I just love the small feel of one screen movie houses. If I have a choice, I'll always be seeing movies at the Guild 45th.

I'm so enamored with the Wallingford area. The quaint little shops, the great small restaurants, the numerous bakeries... I love it. What completes this neighborhood is my favorite Seattle movie theater- the Guild 45th. With only two screens, they choose their movies carefully... and they're always the best of indie and mainstream movies. The screens are very large, the seats pretty comfortable, and the popcorn is never stale. It seems like they really care about the movies they are presenting. The staff is always very nice, an oddity for the theater industry. Rainy day? Head to the Guild 45th!

This is yet another great place to watch a movie in Seattle. I have lived in many cities around the world, and Seattle is truly one of the better places to catch a movie. This is because of places like the Guild 45th. First off, they have an eclectic selection of movies to watch. Second, the popcorn is good;this is very important-never mind the price. Third, seating is comfortable and plentiful. Overall, if you include the Landmark movie theater deal which allows you to purchase ticket packages in advance at a discount, this is a great theater to catch a show.
